So far I can see mixups from qcf+a on opp’s wakeup and braking qcf+k into qcfx2 k. Though qcf+k is pretty slow and predictable.

I actually just pic chars with the coolest poses. Yooohoooo Victoly!! How can you not like that?

Is there ANY reason to every use qcf+K with Butt outside of a combo. I say no, but I see people still use it. (seems like i’ve asked this before and sorry if I’m repeating myself, but if I did, I don’t remember any good answer)

Here’s a short clip I made for a ‘begginer’s combo vid’ for Garou. It mainly covers combos u can do in matches and I’m ‘basing it off’ how SlimX did his first combo vid for SFIII (i.e. corners & jump-ins mainly). It’s still in the works but here’s a ‘sneak preview’ at what it might look in the end.

BTW does anyone know of another way to produce vids from Windows Movie Maker with a little better quality and/or less size?

qcf + D is a good AA if timed right, and qcf +B can give you quick distancemeter when your opponent is down. Plus you can cancel from a standing D for even a bit more distance. Thats all I use them for, outside of combos.

You kept using qcf+B on me over and over, and getting punished for it. That was a while ago though, maybe you smartened up.

I consider that move useless, if you want to try to anti-air with it, there’s always something better to use instead (and you get air JDed you’re screwed).

How do you catch a run-away Dong Hwan? I played some random Korean on poporu today and basically all he did was run away w/ Dong and build meter (and then random hits into super or just run out the time after he gets a lead). I was using Jae and I tried to j. C but it seemed like his moves caught me where my moves didn’t hit. It was lagging pretty hard though, so that could’ve made him seem harder to catch =/

Yeah… I meant the qcf+LK version not HK, with Butt.

As for keep away Dong… That’s gonna be a type of Dong you see a lot, especially online 'cause keep away is hella annoying with lag.
If he’s getting away with building meter fast, you need to get aggressive if you keep using Jae. Plus any jump in should be ground crossed up with front dash, du+K, c.A+B, or c.C. Dong can be pretty unsafe, try to punish with “standing A c.C qcf+HK” and see if you can hit confirm it as well. If you have meter, Jae’s supers can punish a braked dp, qcb+K, or j.d+K from Dong.
Try not to backdash, you’re only gonna help him. Unless you play a crazy dashing Jae where you front and back dash constantly, but that’s a pretty advanced technique to be good with.

To make it a more useful post…
I used to think some TOP moves were worthless… More and more i’m starting to realize how good some of them are.
Dong, Terry, Jenet, and maybe even Hotaru.
I pick these out because they are fairly fast. The idea is that these work particularly well with a GC. What I’ve come to realize is how AWESOME GCing is when you can do it on reaction without buffering and such. For me, TOP moves are the only way to do it on reaction.

I’ve (and maybe others too) mentioned that you can JD during Hoku’s TOP attack recovery frames. I recently did it with Jenet’s as well (block or whiff). Further, in case you didn’t know, you can’t break a throw if you’re in recovery frames. However, if it’s the recovery off your TOP move, you can break the throw. What I wanna know is if you can JD during other non-arial recovery moves because that would make them own up even harder.

Ok, Im new at this game and I was watching this match on video between Terry and Gato. I play Terry and I saw him land 3 stong punch’s in a row into a low strong and to buster wolf… How did he do that? Is there some type of canceling in this game or what?
