I’m pretty sure Lando intended to JD those random Grant dive kicks, but he kept getting hit…also, Grant jumped in alot when Kevin had P Power, which would almost always cost you (due to the qcfx2+D), but I’m sure delay prevented Lando from anti-airing that…
As for the other ones…lots of lag tactics, random moves thrown out…and what’s with the Hokutomaru fireball spamming? Testing someone’s JD skills in online delay? You must have been desperate to win the match.
What you don’t see in Kaillera playbacks is the lag involved. My set with shitamaru had the most lag I’ve ever had in a match. That’s the only way I can see Lando losing to someone as shitty as shitamaru. Random ass supers/wakeup supers/taunts = a scrub. Why didn’t you post the input of the set you lost vs me? And this is a tourny thread, not a flame thread. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself.

I thought things like macro’s were disabled when playing on netplay, or at least, in Kawaks they were. I dunno about Mame.

Well, there are such things as programmable sticks and a+c/a+b can be set to a single button in mame. I don’t respect players that use either.
I use A+C mapped to one key because the keyboard cannot handle it otherwise…however, I don’t have trouble hitting both of them simultaneously. The BC buttons in kof for example, don’t cause a conflict, and I do my max combos using B and C buttons seperately, not one button for B+C. Same goes for CD and AB (they don’t cause conflicts). It seems on my keyboard, horizontally adjacent keys (such as AS, ZX) cause conflicts, and those keys are AC and BD respectively.
Yeah I don’t mind it when people do it to avoid conflicts, or if they have a pad that makes certian combinations difficult. (I’ve seen people on pads who play with ABCD over one another. So you have AB on top and BC on bottom, and it makes A+C or B+D hard to hit, which depending on the game can be somewhat annoying.) You could swap up the order of the buttons but I’d think that’d be more confusing.
I’ve yet to do it, and don’t think I will since it makes some uneasy, but there’s been times I went for two and just had trouble.
And erm, how do you play the replay?
Go to File->Playback Kaillera Input, then open the .inp file.

BLARGH!!! I can’t believe those were posted! Seriously I’m not that bad… I was just having a really bad day. (I’m lucky Storm didn’t record our matches… OR DID HE ^^;)
Also… Why wouldn’t I be desperate to win the match? It’s a tourny^_^. And Grant happens to be my biggest weakness in that game. The only way i’ve found to do ok, is to play keep away because if I go in there, I get creamed. And BTW, it’s my fault as I agreed to it (his server), but my ping was 70 and his was 0. I had to guess way more.
As for the controversy, Shikamaru has always been nice to me, but his conduct was a pretty inappropriate from what I’ve heard. (I was out early ^^;) However I don’t think anyone should be banned unless conduct is at an extreme level or they’re hindering the tournament itself.

If your KB can’t handle it, that’s quite understandable. If you were on a pad and had a+c, a+b set to your shoulders out of ineptitude, that would be different. I’m sure you can understand how much easier Terry feint cancel combos are set to a single button.
Yeah I know…because I can do the Terry feint guard cancel with little difficulty. I guess I should try temporarilyl changing my A and C buttons to ones that don’t cause a conflict to see I can still do it.
Either way, I’m going to be buying a stick pretty soon…so none of those problems.
What do Demo Cut and Flash do?
Wow… I woulda swung by here earlier if I had know ppl were nutting over some tournament results. I have no problem saying I lost, to who… let’s just say everybody for the sake of simplicity. Hell, I even said in irc that life had caught up with me, haha… honestly I have infinitely more important things going on in life now than garou as mentioned but that’s beside the point. I never claimed to be good, everyone seemed to do that for me… shrug… I still maintain that if there’s any purpose in playing these games it’s for fun alone, so calm down and find yourself a shorty or spark one up or something… if any of you lose to me in the future it just means you suck that much more than me which is not saying much, lol.

There are moments in the game that causes a flash. Counter hit is an example. Turning flash off makes it not happen (or as bright at least).
Demo Cut on makes win poses and win quotes skipable with a button press.
That’s how the real players play.
