Mandatory IRC rule is still in effect. If you have come across players on Kaillera that play this game please send them a link to this thread and tell them to get IRC. I will not co-ordinate matches between IRC and Kaillera because people don’t want to take 30 seconds for a couple meg download.
Boss characters are allowed. Be ready to play against them.
The ranks from the previous eight tournaments will be used in this tournament. Any new players will be inserted at random in remaining slots. I’m not going to debate over this because you know that “I’m better than that guy.” If you’re an awesome player and you haven’t entered a tournament yet then you don’t get ranked. It’s just that simple.
I have every confidence that we can break the 32 player mark. Last time around I guess I was unrealistic in hoping for a full 64 player bracket but I do think it’s feasable to hope for 40. I encourage everyone to mention the tournament to players on Kaillera. If people bring up the tourney and SRK, we will continue to build interest.
I’d love to say I’d join in, but you guys should seriously stop putting it on such inhumane times for us europeans!
I guess I could come if the tournament was held at 8:00pm. although Ideal would be 7:00pm
and since my exams will be over by then I could even manage 9:00pm. But I can’t really show off my skills when I’m practically sleeping at 3:00am
But I think it’d be good for both the turnout and my sleeping pattern if you’d move the time of the tournament a bit earlier. I’ll try getting a friend of mine to play along as well. But he’s European too, so not sure if he’ll want to stay up till that time.
On a sidenote:
Shouldn’t we start a mIRC room #SRK-Garou or something. It’d be a lot easier to challenge eachother for matches, since in kaillera I don’t think you can send eachother private messages. That way we can easily play some friendly matches before ‘the big day’.

What the hell are you talking about? If you want to know about that, go to the Results page for that tournament. Also, IMO, you also have no right to judge a tourney that you have not even showed your face in at all.

Edit - nevermind, my buddy told me how to play them.
The Grant v Kev/Dong matches weren’t that good. The Grant would throw out random stuff and the Kevin would fall for it. Same goes for that players Dong. Good chance it was because of lag. I’ve seen better Grants, Dong’s and Kevins, but I’m sure lag takes everyone’s level of play down a bit.
The Grant v Dong/Marco…Were those even real matches? They really sucked.
