You’ll want to connect to the “EFnet” group of servers. Any EFnet server will do.
Easy commands once you’re in there are:
/join <channel room>
/nick <what you want your nickname to be>
Without the < > brackets of course.
The tournament info is usually run through the channel “#garoutournament”, which is only populated during tournament times, and “#srkkaillera” which is populated all the time. There’s also #capcom , and #srkgd .
I’ll partcipate, I’ve spent alot of time playing Garou lately. Although, I have no idea who I’ll play for the tournament. Ethier Rock, Dong Hwan or Jae Hoon…those are my three favorites to play right now.

Well I suck, and with exams coming up I don’t think I’ll get much of a chance to practice but I’ll make a note of it, and see if I’ll be able to show up.

Is there a Ping Limit for This Tournament?
I am the administrator of a multigame fighting league in the Dominican Republic (www.honmaru.org). Since we are not in the U.S. it’s practical impossible to get a ping reading lower than 100.
I am not so experienced with Kaillera (only done a few tests), so I don’t know if fighting in a tournament is possible with the reading that we get here.
Can anyone tellme what are normal readings for events like this and what could be the possible max for entry?

Thats what I was using, but it was too hard trying to hit both punch buttons at the same time, so I moved the hard punch/kick to the R-shoulder buttons. Works a little better.
The best thing you should do is to go into the server and see how your ping is, and play someone. That will be your best gauge.

Not to mention the HOARD of online lag abusers. They are very few respectable Garou players out there that are not lag abusers. One of them is lux.

If you ever want to play at Shoppers World in Brampton, they have an arcade cabinet there and we could settle up on who’s better in an offline environment.
It’s not “part of the game”, hence the definition of lag tactics…the tactic does not exist in the reality because it just fails. And going all the way to brampton is a hassle. I already know who’s better anyway. A good player doesn’t repeat the same mistakes over and over…you don’t even know how to break or feint either. And you have no reaction game. Your gameplay is like playing russian roulette…
