See, here’s my theory.
Team Kurono, for the most part, are semi-normally adjusted kids. Yeah Izumi is an asshole, Kurono has balls of steel, and Kato has emo-rage, but most of them have a pretty normal mindset going into the game. They aren’t degenerates and killers, the game changes them to be that way.
Team Osaka are damn near all psycho/sociopaths, probably from before they started. I can totally see them being hardened killers from damn near birth(so to speak), and that they would want to stay in the game to get their rocks off since doing that in the real world has consequences and shit. Team Osaka is probably ‘stronger’ for that destructive mindset(even though their tactics aren’t much different), but they’re stupider than Team Kurono by far.
The real question is why the fuck are there so many of them together??? I think that each ‘Gantz’ must have preferences about who they ‘recruit’, otherwise Team Osaka is mathmatically impossible. I mean, aren’t there people inside of the Gantz balls? Maybe their choices in teams reflect the host’s personality.
That’s the only explanation that Oku could possibly come up with(and that probably isn’t that great). Otherwise Team Osaka is fucking nonsense.

[details=Spoiler]I may have overreacted given what we’re used to, but I just have a difficult time believing it really is that simple considering the variety of aliens we’ve seen thus far. Eh, either way… this chapter is shaping up to be a learning experience for both teams. Tokyo has to step their game up in order to just SURVIVE while Osaka may have to start playing a little more conservatively to maintain themselves. What baffles me aside from their convenient coupling is the origin of Okahachirou and what he/she/it actually IS because the form is HUGE. Very mech-like but might shed some light as to whether or not the options differ for repeat performances. The only feasible explanation should there be a mech is new weaponry. One can only imagine though how insane the American team is if Osaka has that much experience. Even still, I refuse to acknowledge these clowns as Kurono’s successors until they prove their own worth.

The learning experience for both teams seems really feasible. Especially when you consider that these two teams are polar opposites of each other. For some reason I think the Osaka Aliens may have been weaker than the Tokyo Aliens. No way someone can get to 100 7 times when they have to fight super dinosaurs and killer buddhas, they don’t even shake a stick at the vampires or that one crazy satanic alien. I think the Tokyo team has a better will to survive, while the Osaka team just flat out enjoy it more. Also Tokyo is so much more diverse, because of the population i.e. vampires, telepaths, karate masters; the Osaka must have several soldiers or fps champs, or they all could just be psycho.
