All of you fans should know the drill by now. Oku has proven his worth once again. Holy Decent Cliffhanger. Chapter 237 finally (and offically) marks the closing of the first phase of GantZ manga. The 2nd Phase: Catastrophe is expected to begin in Chapter 238 which is set for release sometime in November.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Blondie’s homosexual obsession with Izumi originated from him being sent to the apartment as a human (or vampire) during Shion’s first run.

I think killing Izumi was a copout so he wouldn’t have to show the weapon, I would have liked to see what happened with Katou’s bro, and Akira’s death seems premature even for gantz, you’d think he’d get the chance to react to Kurono as a gantz member. I can only think in the long run, titty and Lara are just going to be completly forgotten.

Does anyone else get “Forbidden” when they try to access the Gantz links on Stabby’s/Saist’s site? Everything else works but Gantz :sad:

Saga, just make a new thread in November, or at least October. Four months without a chapter or even updates is ridiculous.

And I closed that part of the site off, since I was getting my bandwidth throttled. I’m going to catch up with Gantz, and make a new private folder for SRK-only when the series restarts in November.

I really wanna know how the tokyo and Osaka teams pair up. This also gives rise to the possiblity of a world wide gantzer hunt with other countries. This actully gives more hope for big tits and Lara since the series isn’t going to be wrapped up within the year which was origanolly planned.

Would be nice, the title isn’t very clear. I clicked on the thread thinking it was about a continuation of the anime only too read that Kei dies ><. Granted I know the anime isn’t completely faithful or the full story but I’ll never likely read the manga (don’t care for manga) but I liked living in my fantasy world where he made it out of the “game.” So…the first thread to should have a spoiler warning atleast, not each post though. runs away crying

The chick assisting Blondie is the survivor of the first visit into the vamp’s night club of sorts. She was the one Akira was fighting to keep alive before the end of that chapter.

Not that it matters since they both screwed up royally.

And after the shotty job of commanding we’ve seen from the every-single-vampire in charge of the teams sent to kill someone, I’m positive their collective gay has been well established in the manga.

Blondie seems like the only vampire worth a damn. Why? Because he’s still alive. That’s all, that’s it.

I cannot effing believe they killed Kurono. I know he’s gonna come back, but it still feels like shenanigans. Arrrr!

It was cool to see him put his “game-face” back on for the last chapter and all, but the rest of the team are kinda punks. Kurono and Izumi were the only ones who ever killed anything really, the rest are basically just assist characters. I’m excited to see the vampires get in there and wreck shop, but even they kinda fell off getting slaughtered for free like that in the last few chapters.

I dunno, GantZ is still in my top 2 current favourites, but Oku’s got a hell of a lot of 'splainin to do if he’s going to keep my interest.

Well, the story follows Kurono, so the rest of the characters would be sidestories.

If you mean actual usefulness-- Kaze would like a word with you. I like how Oku at least maintains that Kaze is the uncontested strongest fighter.

The usefulness of every member on our current team (excluding Inaba) is debatable kthx. They aren’t all complete losers.

And the vampires aren’t going to wreck anything if they’re forced to abide by the rules of the sphere. They can’t snitch to the higher ups and they can’t kill anyone without getting blown away themselves. I’m willing to bet they’ll talk their way out of getting capped until the mission starts, easy.

Reika = Kurono Vol. 2 during the Oni Mission, so I’m hopeful she’ll woman up and break out the beast again in honor of Kei.

Sakurai = Psychic Powers, decent handle on weaponry, has mad potential, boosts Sensei’s morale.

^What else is there to possibly question? He hasn’t done anything worth jizzing yourself over in the least. It’s been known fact since the end of the DC Alien exploits that 90% of the vampires we’ve seen are low tier punching bags. How is Izumi being himself (until his girlfriend shows up) all that impressive when faced with an enemy he’s known for dominating? Come on now. IMO, the novelty (and my respect) diminished the split second he spit shined and hand delivered his cock to Kurono during the Oni Boss fight, period. The almighty clincher was the unexplained Tae Kojima-esque sacrifice.

Face it. The Big O force fed us that pile of spontaneous garbage without any reference to justify it. And you can shop around any reason you’d like as to why I should respect Izumi for going out like a punk, but I’m not feeling it.

His death wasn’t even the worse part about the chapter! Shion managing to kill three of the “Mysterious Four” vampires in his shotty condition was! They were overgrown, overhyped pussy cats, son! Don’t hate on me, hate on Oku! :bluu:
