I gave up trying to keep up with this series around the time that the model chick decided that she was gonna duplicate Kurono.

My favorite arc was the dinosaur arc.
Then it went slowly downhill. It got really retarded with that boss worth 100 points who killed everyone and somehow only could be killed by sneak attacks. Then the beginning of Endgame was cool. Now it is retarded stupid again.
Gantz would take that as a compliment.
Actually, Nurarihyon mission was my favorite. Extremely dangerous, even a Gantz player who had cleared 7 times fled from him. I think Oka explained that Nurarihyon could only be killed if he didn’t understand what or how he was being killed. He repeatedly said “I see I see!” when he caught on to tactics or damaging attacks. Still, I wonder how he found Oka and killed him. Really, there’s so many things about the manga I don’t understand (like a lot of people).
Particularly have the Gantz players been fighting REAL aliens before the invasion or were these creatures fabricated by the Gantz ball just as easily as it reconstitutes people’s bodies even if they get splattered.

For those wanting to see more of Izumi and Nishi, I suggest checking out the canon spin-off Gantz/Minus. Then if you like that check out the other stuff Gant/EXA and the live action movie.
Gantz is one of the few manga series I support by actually ordering them from Japan. Since I don’t have a camera/scanner, you’ll just have to look at these pics.

Summery:
The story takes place before the start of the original Gantz series, and is mostly text. It centers around Ooki, who dies trying to save a kid’s life, and ends up in the Gantz room. Upon his arrival, an attractive female, Akari, tries to tell him and everyone else what to expect, so that they will survive. He is the only one of the new people who puts his suit on.

Another novel with a few pictures like Gantz/MINUS. I really have no idea if this is supposed to be canon of not considering what I read in the book.

The main character is named Nagatomo, he is an astronaut and a scientist in charge of a secret operation about experimenting cryogenics on human subjects such a assasins or political prisoners, all inside a spaceship called “RETRO”. Suddenly he wakes up inside the ship only to see outside a huge amount of black spheres floating in space, he first believes they could the debris of something, then he realizes there is life activity inside them and leaves the ship to bring one of those spheres inside, then he proceeds to open it and founds a girl inside it, Kishimoto.
More Izumi is great. Sad how it ends for him…
Don’t know how it’ll end for all of them, but I assume only Izumi and Nishi are gonna make it
possibly, but people can always get 100 points and opt out of the game too.
Gantz is def one of my favorite manga now…where other battle manga have just become predictable, gantz has never failed to surprise me and keep me hooked.
