So, I’m curious…
What happened to the vampires? Not just the two that got sucked into Gantz but the entire legion that was apparrently after Gantz members, particularly Izumi. And didn’t Kurono have a brother that was one of those vampires?
I guess we were suppose to forget all that ever happened?

I’ve pretty much given up hope for any real sensibility or storyline continuity from this manga. Now I just tune in to ride the wave.
What’s going to happen next? An inversion of the world where they were all in the ball to begin with and Gantz was actually the one trapped by them in a never ending battle?

Why would anyone wish izumi back? Maybe I could see nishi wanting him back because he’s the smart one.
The vampires will probably play a bigger role later on. I can see the gantz squad asking for their help. Host Sam probably told his crew to chill for awhile.
No sensible person within that manga would want Izumi to come back, but just the fanboy in me talking, Izumi has more fighting potential than anybody in the group(Strong and athletic like a Negro is what they said, lol), and he has the skills to back it up, so hopefully one day the group gets in trouble, and they need an extra fighter. Maybe Gantz will call him back, or something.

1 on 1 I’d take Izumi any day, but that’s just me, mainly because he’s bigger, more athletic, and more ruthless than Kurono.
Him and Kurono double koed each other, but Izumi wanted to die so that he could play Gantz again.

Agreed with everyone that any believability/sensibility is pretty much non-existant at this point, but the appeal of Gantz, to me, was always that OMG-no-fucking-way-this-is-insane-and-doesn’t-make-any-sense aspect of it. It’s fun to just take bets on who’s gonna die next, and to see how they get killed off…

Fighting ability goes Kaze, the Izumi/Kurono’s buddy. At least they did a long while ago. Kurono is probably on the same tier fighting as those two now, but Kaze only loses because he does really dumb/crazy shit.

is the manga better than the anime. the concept seemed to be pretty good; but i spent my time watching the anime screaming in frustration for them to quit being bitches. did i give up the series too quick?
The anime for some reason takes a different route at one point. There’s still lots of crying in the manga but it’s not as bad as the anime. gantz manga >gantz anime
so I guess this went in the direction everyone expected, it’s just pretty amazing how messed up Reika was. I guess now it means she’ll get killed off within 10 chapters
