Who is Gaming Ottawa?:
Gaming Ottawa is a registered Not-For-Profit business run by a group of gamers in the Ottawa area. Their website can be found at Gaming Ottawa - Ottawa’s Gaming Community!. This will be the first event that they have run in the Street Fighter world and hopefully it will be the start of a long, successful, foray into the tournament scene. The current plan is to hold events along these lines on a monthly basis.

For reference I am not directly involved with GO, simply their SRK liason.

Tournament Directors:
Gaming Ottawa staff

Notes:

  • There most likely will not be room for additional setups/BYOC.
  • We are still looking for more volunteers for setups for both Brawl and SSF4 so if you can supply a 360, Wii, or TV please let us know!
*** Alcohol will be sold at the venue (LLBO Licensed)**

Money Matches:
RXS vs iRockTheVote - FT3 for $20
RXS vs Gillette - FT3 for $10
RXS vs Jensine - FT5 for $20
RXS vs GonzoShow23 - FT5 $20
Buddahforce vs GonzoShow23 - FT5 for $20
Buddahforce vs PLA Soldier - FT5 for $20

removed.

Might as well say the money is for the venue and there’s cash prize already set. Disguising it as an “admin” fee is pretty sad.

Um, is there a Blazblue CS set up?

Initial post has been updated to clear up some confusion.

Logan/Johnny/Anybody from Gaming Ottawa, hook me up with posters and I will post them like mad all over Carleton.

I think that’s already being taken care of by some of the GO staff but the thought is much appreciated! If this isn’t the case I’m sure someone from GO will get in touch with you tomorrow

Bump for my nigga Logan.

I can’t believe i’m going to say this, but I think i’m in.

Just in case there was any confusion about the payouts:

>20 entrants : 140 pot
21 entrants : 145 pot
22 entrants : 150 pot
etc.

There is no guaranteed room for setups for other games. While we have a sweet venue, our focus is running a solid set of tournaments, so anything that does not directly help that I’m going to have to say I can’t guarantee.

If anyone has any questions they can post here, contact Gillette (Logan) or myself on the forums, or email me at bbueno@gamingottawa.ca

There’s a good chance i’ll be driving out for this.

<3 looking forward to having you up in our nation’s wonderful capitol. On a related note the venue is basically next door to two of the better bars in the city (Pub Italia and Heart and Crown) so you can be pretty sure that we’re going out for some fun after.

Any ideas as to the 2v2 Brawl tourny will have Friendly Fire on?

I’m personally against it.

I’m going to have to let buenob answer that one, I’m not too involved in the Smash side of things.

First confirmed MM added to info.

friendly fire/team attack is ALWAYS on.

There are just too many broken things that can be done if it wasn’t. Imagine two MKs tornadoing you to death with no worries.

This is Gi. What up Buenob. Moving out that weekend so I can’t make the effort yet. But these are monthlies so there’s always next time.

Godlike

Also add rematch against Gillette. FT3 $10

I’m game, it’s in the post.

Brawl 2v2 information added.

Melee Singles and 2v2 added.

I’ve been talking to the Montreal dustloop crew and they are very excited about a potential monthly tournament for BBCS.
