Also, don’t hate on veggie burgers; shit is mad good when done right. Just don’t expect a veggieburger to taste like a hamburger because then you’re fucking up.
This thread immediately improved once we began discussing Burgers… Finally something important and fun to discuss. I can juat say for now In N Out is good but there’s FAAAAR better brugers our there in that tier of cost.
Loving right now Fuddruckers. Any place that lets me choose to make my meat medium rare gets props.
I’m fine witth the topic change since there really isn’t much to talk about until something new develops. I said a few pages ago they we were basically just repeating the same points over and over again so maybe it’s best we don’t say anything until new info comes out.
Since we got some serious in the know ppl here, anyone been able to find good spicy food?
Fortunately for me, gourmet sauce is normal at vegan restaurants as they double as yuppie dinners. But for u guys on the front lines, where u getting dat Chipotle?
We are hitting the end of journalism in general, the thing is that advertising is still top dog so people will be bought. If all you had to do is tell some hipsters that “this game rocks, ban bossy #ilovethe90s” and you retire early, would you refuse? Journalism is entertainment just as much as the news is. The good sources are the Steam Game Hubs or whatever the XBL/PSN equivs are. I never EVER watch reviews, instead I look at the gameplay then check to see if theres a problem.
When Ultra lagged for me, I wasn’t disappointed since I saw it a mile away. I got exactly what I paid for. As for people in the impulse-buying/goat simulator category i dunno.
edit: i implied it was harmless, which it isnt, but still. the journalism is part of the entertainment of the game.
Personally, I think the timeline of gaming journalism is:
2004 and prior: Good times, great oldies. (Obviously shit was going on, we were just blissfully unaware except in the most obvious instances.)
2005: Dan “Shoe” Hsu exposes print gaming journalist for being a bunch of easily swayed sellouts. Within a couple of years, gaming magazines die while online gaming blogs begin to rise to prominence.
2007: Jeff Gerstmann ousted from GameSpot for a bad review. While most brushed this off as an isolated incident and only GameSpot suffered, it set the stage for the “it’s all for the ad revenue” mentality and clickbait articles.
2011-ish: Kotaku begins to post stories that aren’t just non-gaming related, but also get very preachy in regards to social justice. This leads to a lot of heated debate, which leads to a lot of page-clicks, which leads to a lot of imitators.
And now: SJW interests are holding online gaming journalists (and developers) by the balls. Sweeping decisions all across the gaming industry are being made to satisfy this element, or at least avoid it’s ire.
Which is what I’m beginning to think a lot of the censorship, takedowns, and other things are coming from. I don’t think it’s ALL cronyism (although that’s definitely a part of it), I think it could just be flat-out fear that if they let people on their site talk about something the SJWs don’t agree with, the SJWs will attack them.
They are like spice on Dune, with avocados burgers evolve into navigators. With Chipotle, its third stage.
Fortunately for those that like Spice, the tier is already made. (scovile heat units)
Ghost (1.3m) > Habanero (240k) > Chipotle (6-10k) > Jalapeno (2.4-5k).
Your sad attempts at trying to keep the topic on her is pretty hilarious. Stop dedicating your life trying to expose women for being evil creatures and go eat a tasty burger. And fuck a dude while you’re at it.
That is why I have an entire legal contract tattooed on my dick. By consenting to sex you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the contract. Plus, like most people, once it gets that long they just agree to anything. My dick’s nickname is the iTune’s EULA.
Did you just suggest homosexuality was bad here or something…this is the second time you said this and it’s used in a very derogatory tone. You also keep conflating "any negative opinion"on women with hatred for women. I now understand how female teachers who rape male students barely get any jail time.
K, now that I have heard more, I’m even more disappointed. Making the game free because of the Robin Williams thing isn’t “education”, it’s a fucking PR stunt. If it was for “education”, it would’ve been free from the start.
Like, these SJW pick the dumbest causes. Do they read the credits of games to look for good games in which women played a part as proof that women can do good? Of course not, that requires reading and research which could possibly contradict their ideas. Instead, they look for self-confirming evidence and see everything in the lens of their own views. The game jam example is idiocy at it’s finest. “Obviously, all the other women’s ideas become meaningless and invalid because one woman whined loudly!” As I said, these guys don’t stand for ideals, only faces. The worst kind of “activist”: someone who doesn’t even view situations critically and chooses the side that sounds like their idea of “fairness”.
This “issue” has passed. Zoe won’t be taken seriously again outside of the white knights, the guys lost serious credibility, and now we clearly see where people stand on this. The problem now is with people who say it’s okay “because it isn’t something big”. Aside from Zoe’s fat ass, there isn’t anything “big” immediately here. But the implications are. If people decide what games should be made and promoted by things that have nothing to do with actual quality, where is the line? Are companies allowed to sponsor their own reviewers, since even carnal relations between devs and press aren’t “too close”? If games can be promoted outside their own merit, why not just throw darts to decide a review score? If gaming is a “boys club”, why do women like games if they should, by all accounts, be absolutely disgusted with the medium?
You wanna know why women aren’t in game development? Because women don’t do well in STEM courses as often, reducing the number of viable female developers. Sure you have art, which women are baller as hell at, but that side is overcrowded. If you want women in industry, support good female devs so they have a repuatation to build on. Latching on to poor excuses because they have a vagina is no less sexist than opposing good ones for the same reason. [/details]
The local highschool here had a teacher that was part of tag teaming operations (students would go to her after class), she was fired and many students were upset by that. just thought i’d add this scandalous little detail.
