GameWorks Seattle, WA FightClub Tournament April 24th - 26th over $1000 prize pool

It’s got to be a cabinet, right? I haven’t been in Gameworks for a few years but they had a MvC2 cab then… I think…

they have an mvc2 cab. go get your beast on

Going to try and enter SFIV. Gotta prep!

Just to be extra clear on this.

All games will be in Arcade Cabinets, this is not a console tournament.

GameWorks is taking the time to make sure all controls and buttons are in tip top shape. I will be showing up a day ahead of time to make sure everything is in perfect condition.

For those of you that have to work, remember you have been waiting for something like this - so call in sick!!!

I look forward to meeting you all

ok…coo

jigga damn

too bad I can’t do this considering I work at Gameworks, haha.

gonna have to see if I can request that weekend off tho so I can attend and participate…

Sorry vasquez, because you are an employee you will not be able to play even if you have the day off, its in the official rules.

If you want - request with your manager that you want to work the tournament, and then I can train you when I am up there for the event.

Just so you know, I am working with corporate to do a special tournament for employees.

Have a good day

That doesn’t make sense… it’s not like the prize money comes from GW? Is it cause people would feel like it was rigged if an employee won?

Is the SFIV cab still locking up every 20 minutes? That’ll drag the tournament.

Damn this sounds tight. Sucks that I picked up a console character to learn but eh…guess I can brush up on my Ryu. Smart thing to do is to actually switch to him but eh…I’m stupid. Gonna let everyone know about this though. Anyone willing to house some out of towners or know of a good place to stay?

fuck corporate

yeeeaa, i saw that. I’m not interested in the money, I just wanna compete. I’m used to gameworks holdin out on payin me anyway…

I kid, I kid

also, for damn sure I’d be down to help set up the tourney!

for sure.

Federal law on contests.

I am going to request the 26th off at work tommorow so I can enter SFIV, I like the cab you guys have for SFIV.

And yeah, is the crashing ever 30 minutes problem fixed yet?

Shit will be HYPE!

I was already aware of these lock-up issues and I am working with GameWorks to make sure that the SF4 cabs do not lock up. My first guess was that the lock-ups were caused by static electricity from players. I asked them to look at the earth groundling lines to the cabinet. In my past I used to be an arcade tech for GameWorks so I know what to look for.

I already talked to Seattle GameWorks to make sure SF4 and MvC2 had good working joysticks and buttons. I will do my best to work with GameWorks to make sure both games are up to tournament standards. I know having good working games makes all the difference with players.

Have a good day

hey matt what kinda sf4 setup was the tournament ran on? seattle gw has it on the vf5 lindberg cabs if that makes any difference.

Just wanted to make one point very clear because some have asked me.

Players are allowed to sign up for both tournaments, so if you are the best at both you could walk away with $1000 in prizes.

Also here is a youtube.com link to the FightClub tournament we had in Arizona. This was a slightly different setup on how the tournament ran.

Have a good day

I would kill for an ST tournament on a real American cab since people are too used to SANWA.

Aye dog, come see me on my cab. I don’t load ST up because people would get bombed on and start crying.
