I just wan to thank everyone that showed up and participated it was a really good event.

Look for another GameWorks FightClub Event in the near future, I will talk to GameWorks and remind them to schedule it just before EVO 2009.

Have a good night
Brian

Picture no worky.

Rat above Jmar? Wowzer vids? :stuck_out_tongue:

Who the fuck is John Huffman? Wait a minute… oh dear God, no…

Picture should work now

Huffman??

Julian, I feel as if our rambo play through…was just amazing and was probably one of the most fun times I had at the tournament…just want to thank you in partaking in that because that was just hella fun

Not that I know of. I recorded about an hour of footage during the first two brackets but then had to bail. I’ll get to those after I finish up the next 2 hours of SF4 footage from my house.

any vids on this ?

HAHA that was my thought process as well.

there were vids taken, but i don’t know the guy but he said they would be on youtube…so i guess try to look up:

SFIV gameworks fight club videos?

Any chance of seeing the brackets and what people placed instead of the top 4?

Thanks, if there is another fight night at GW I got you for some Rambo next time, if you PROMISE TO WILE OUT.

Frankdadank for commentary 2009

You hear it first.

Just wanted to say ggs to whoever I played today in bracket 6. Even if I didn’t make it to semis I still had fun. So many good people! :looney: Where the fudge have all these people been?! It opened my eyes to how much more I need to practice.

Thanks to Brian and Gameworks for hosting this event.

Didn’t catch the names of any of the Tri-Cities guys that I played against in the second MvC2 pool. You guys should try to make it to Seattle for games more often. It was a pleasure to play against a different style. Sorry I wasn’t more sociable during the event. I was really tired from gaming the entire night before.

yay!

Thanks to everyone, ya’ll are the ones that made this successful.

shout out to:
Chris:Ken 4th

Kinda proud, that the Gameworks casual players represented pretty well.
at a Gameworks tournament.
imagine that.

Also congrats to Scruby, Cole, and LTB (1st,2nd,3rd place)

p.s. thank you Brian, for makin this happen!

again thanks to all who attended.

Ah, the tournament environment. Other than the Gamestop tournaments I haven’t been to a proper tournament in almost 10 years. … I think I could get used to this again. Met a bunch of new peeps, hung out with some old peeps, saw some awesome matches and upsets. Good shit, good times.

Oh and next time, Deezo, your Chun’s going down! =D

PS. I vote Frank to do the commentary on the next tournament. Can I get a second on the motion?

Characters used for the top 16 (from what I remember):

2 Chuns
2 Kens?
1 Abel
2 Balrogs?
1 Bison
1 Geif
1 Sagat

1 Rufus
1 Honda

That’s only 14 total…maybe there were 3 Kens? and 3 Balrogs?
