bump
Alex, I work crappy days and can’t make Monday
But all those who can…DO IT.
I wish I could make Mondays, but they’re still bad for me.
I will see you fellows monday then
I’ll check this event out monday
…but for casuals i think its just a bit too expensive.
This sounds great. I’m pretty sure I can make casuals. I love Tekken also. May want to post on TZ if you want Tekken players to come out. I know a lot of them, but none of them are locals. They do need a place to play though I’ll tell you that much. WNF’s 2 station limit for Tekken is kinda wacky. It’s all good though, we’re used to it. haha. I’m down for Mondays for sure.
lol $5 for 4 hours? Do you go out to any events or tournaments?? That’s like the standard fee or more… that’s pretty good.
@ Everyone: Well hopefully we can run them another day besides Mondays so more people can make it out… We want to find a day or two where almost everyone can make it out and play so we have more competition.
@Galo: Yeah, man I’m trying to get a T6 crowd going there. I’m going to post on TZ, I’m waiting for my registration to get accepted on that shitty ass site. TZ, I have to say is a shitty ass forums compared to Shoryuken and could use so much more organization.

I headed in there today just to check the place out. The owner let me know about what was going on and I wanted to find out a little more. I didn’t think anyone else in my area played SSF4 since I live right around the corner. This sounds like alot of fun
There are tons of people who play in the area, lol. Just gotta find them.
word… the SSF4 crowd is fucking HUGE now… over 2200 SSF4 participants at EVO speaks for itself. Tekken is like 300 peeps. Lmao.
@Andrew: Yeah, TZ needs a little more organization. It’s hard to find the threads sometimes. 300 for Tekken? That’s a lot. Everyone is afraid to play Tekken, by everyone I mean new players. There are a lot of veteran players in the community and some new players get emo because they lose so much. It’s a difficult game. It’s not like SF where the game is easy to understand. Tekken takes time and effort, and right now I don’t think any new player is really willing to commit to learning.
I am, since I’ve played all the Tekkens before. Just gotta learn the language and stuff. I’m down to get owned. You guys coming this monday!? YOU BETTER!
ONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS! HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU THERE!! If these sessions become a success we can probably try to make them twice a week so more people can make it out!
Good games to people out there tonight. We had 5 set ups at one point which is really nice; my only complaint was parking could get bad.
Some people were thinking of moving it to Thurs to replace FedEx if that works better for others too make it.
Had a good time tonight. Thanks to everyone for helping out my scrubby chun. There’s some parking at the jack in the box across the street, but I’m not sure if it’s reserved or not.
Tonight was good, we need more people to stick to BYOC because Gamestar only has 4 TEs or so. Hopefully we can get bigger turn outs for more competition and things like that. Might lock in only 3-4 set ups next time though for a better competitive environment, etc. (winning to stay on)
To people who are new to the scene and/or trying to learn the game and stuff, don’t be afraid to ask questions. You’ll only get help if you ask. See you guys next time. I might not make it to Monday night next week but AyoChip will be there most likely. We still need to take a vote on which nights we can session on where the majority of people will show up.
Paul, the owner, has also offered to open later for us like till 11PM or maybe later which will make it a better incentive for ppl to show up!
Awesome place. It’s nice for $5 to sit around and use other people’s TVs and electricity. It was chill and a clean place to hang out. Not as cozy as FedEx, since we all know 20 guys in one room is just dandy. This place has a little more breathing space. Everyone should come out and support the local spot. It was definitely fun. The owner, Paul, was cool about all of us coming in. Hopefully he’ll host many more sessions. I wish I got there earlier and could have stayed later. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks Alex and Andrew for organizing these Monday nights.
I’ll definitely try and support this, by showing up next week if possible. Sounds like a good time. Thanks for organizing this guys, lets get ready for Evo! SoCal needs to represent…
GG to all who i play. I hope to learn more from this events. see you all next moday!!
I also agree with this
Might lock in only 3-4 set ups next time though for a better competitive environment, etc. (winning to stay on)
just to keep it fun…
