GG’S last night people!
Fuck. I totally forgot about this last night -_-.
Next monday good sirs!
Thank you everyone who showed.
This time I’ll take a vote for the future coming events. We will all vote for a new day of the week or keep it the same. Everyone get’s to vote whether you come all the time or not.
Also, new bracket system next week. Alot like level up where the players will be on the stations according to their respective levels. Yesterday was a great turn out and I hope that we can have more. I will also try to gather some more friends. It will be a round robin within 3 stations.
This is how it’ll go:
-First round robin will be all randomized stations.
-After the Round Robin is finished according to how many people are there the top scores will go to station A. The ones who have a win ratio higher than the loss ratio will stay on station B. Everyone (People with a ration of equal wins or losses or a score of more losses than wins) else will be on station C.
-We will do this twice. After we’ve done it twice we’ll keep it like that the whole night. Once the stations are settled, each station will be arcade style, which means winner stays on while the losers rotate the seats.
-Lowest scores will either (depending on which station you’re on) be demoted to a station, or stay on the same one.
-Each week will begin it the same way.
I really do appreciate it guys. Once Evo is over I hope that you guys still make it out and come support Paul. He can read our posts, so say hi and thanks once in a while. After Evo this set up might not stay up, and we’ll just do casuals.
Props to Paul, Gamestar, and the folks running this event. Very good venue for sessions. It’ll definitely need community support for any longevity of staying open. Tekken (or any other fighting games) players should try to make it out too, definitely enough stations to go around.
I freakin’ napped through the session, dammit! I’ll make it out next week
It’s all good man, there’s always next time. I want to extend my thanks to all who showed up and showed their support. Hope everyone had a good time. We want to try to get consistent outcomes with a good group of people. If we can get a consistent 15-25 ppl there we can start opening up more set ups like up to 5 TVs, but for now if its under 20 its only going to stay around 3 and 4 set ups if needed (15+). Alex is endorsing a good idea by following how WNF runs their training regiment but with a little bit of a twist. It should be good for a lot of players with room for improvement, learning, and fun.
Btw, if any of you guys know any more players out there, remember to spread the word. Also, if any of you know Tekken players and such, let them know what we’re trying to do and that we want to throw a session like this just for them. Thanks again everyone, hope to see more people show up next week. I might not be able to make it, but our very own Ayochip will be there to lead the parade.
Anyways, all those who post… PLEASE PLEASE… put in your vote for best days for session nights!! Monday seems pretty good so far or maybe Thursday nights? DISCUSS PEOPLE!
I’d prefer Monday nights… I’m often free monday nights, but not Tuesday.
Monday is good for me
Monday is good…
For me, Mondays and Thursdays are good. Maybe even Sunday Nights… :]
Alright guys. This vote will come to a hault. There will be some changes. I will not run this after evo. I have decided to pass the torch on to my good friend wakakashe. For those of you who don’t know, he runs the Fed Ex Fight Night sessions on thursday. This UPCOMING MONDAY, will be a crack session. I will ask Paul to stay for as long as he can and as late as he can with us so we can all train for EVO. Please be prepared for Monday night cuz most likely we’ll be playing till tuesday morning. PLEASE DONATE AND HELP PAUL BY BUYING WATER AND SNACKS FROM HIS SHOP.
Thank you that is all.
I think we still need to vote unless this is ultimately being moved to Thursday Nights.
Anyways, I’ll be helping out George with this then.
I won’t be able to make this Monday night most likely, I’ve got things to do but hope everyone has a good time.
Is there anything you guys would like to see specifically happen at GameStar Sessions?
**Everyone we’re going to have a crack session at GameStar Arcade THIS MONDAY NIGHT, JULY 5th, the owner Paul was nice enough to agree to stay open late for us till around 1 or 2am and he said if our crowd is big enough like over 20ppl, then its possible he’ll stay open later for us. So guys, if you wanna get in some good sessions in before EVO to prep for the tourney or just want to get in good sessions to improve your game, then come out and join us at Gamestar Arcade in Tustin, just check the thread for any more info, we’re going to start around 6pm-2am (currently and maybe even later due to turn out) $5 all you can play. COME SHOW YOUR SUPPORT! PREP FOR EVO! SO BE THERE! **
Be there Monday night, folks.
It’s true, I’ll be taking up some of the work that Ayochip’s been putting efforts to for Game Star.
The owner Paul is open to our needs and ideas, and I hope we can be open to support and keep his venue running.
I’ll be sure to keep you posted on big updates. For now, check out this place, cram session on Monday, and prepare for the time of your life! Evo-bound!
Hey guys, post if you’re showing up so I can get a good head count of ppl… would like to see 20 ppl make it out. Might up the fee to $7 since Paul is staying up late for us. Might throw a mini casuals tournament too. I’ll be arriving late around 10pm or so. Ayochip will be there. I really want to see a lot of you guys make it. Bring your game faces, its time for some last minute level up.
I’ll try and make it out there this week, don’t think there’s anything going on anywhere else.
I will most likely be there, and be there at about 7ish, I have work until 5:30 or so I believe.
