So here are the rules:
-09 members cannot make gamesharing requests.
-08 members and 07 members who signed up after June 1st, 2007 must have Premium membership AND 500 posts (V Shield) AND green rep (if you disable rep, you waive your ability to gameshare) to make gamesharing requests.
-08 and 07 members, if doing a gameshare, must offer their account info first and should be given account infos only after the trader has successfully activated the download.

I also highly recommend that those who wish to incur the risk of gamesharing to make a separate account on your PS3 just for this. Change your password often, and don’t leave your billing info on it.
Just a suggestion. Could we make a rule that you must pay a security deposit that you get back when you gameshare? That would deter scammers if they stand to lose some money.
For example person a wants some games that person b has. Person a pays person b $10-$15 and after completion of the trade gets that money back.
I don’t think we can/should ask people to move money around, as that would complicate things immensely. Plus, because it isn’t a forum feature, who would keep track of it?
**I honestly think folks should stick to trading items like this with real life friends.
I’ve got 5 friends waiting to split the “All Costumes” pack once it comes out.
I might even pay for it myself & give it to my friends just so they’ll play more.
p.s. I don’t know what to say if you don’t have real life friends, but it’s a shame if you don’t.

Are 09 members still allowed to post their availability+request in the PSN game trading thread? And if not, are they allowed to PM people for trades?
Also, perhaps we could establish a “vouch” sort of system for 09 members who have had positive trades with other (non-09) members by posting positive feedback in their public profile’s visitor messages.
Even though i’m an 08’er, i think it’d be best to add 08 to that list simply because. At the sametime though, people who game share know the risks when they get into it, samething with buying anything off of someone in person. I would only game share on SRK if my friends in my area don’t have what i need, even saying that i’ve never game shared on SRK. But for the sake of desperate honest SRK members, add 08 to the list. Just not enough time has went by for these people to be trusted.
I think it was only one person (hayzink) of whom I was one of the people that got scammed by, but that’s besides the point
I think the best system if we’re going with no 08+09 members is that only older members may post for trades and the 08+09 members are allowed to PM users for trades, of course trading being at the person’s own risk. Then, if the trade is successful, leave positive feedback for that person and that would enable them to post future trades/requests in the threads as well.

This is dumb, just because you deal with a member who signed up before 08/09 doesnt mean you are 100% safe. there will ALWAYS be a risk when giving your account to a stranger from an online forum no matter what that little sign up date says, and it isn’t fair to the actual honest people who are 08/09 members. keep living in your little bubble.
