uno son, works pretty nicely when you come down to the last card and you gotta call uno as you put down your last card. i just drum it down.
also the fireworks game works pretty well too. pretty much all the old arcade games work perfectly with stick. weather it be puzzle games, pacman or old roms on your computer. i actually lost my pad at a tournament a while ago so i just use my stick for everything.
Obviously the virtua tennis games, they are good fun even if you don’t like tennis and they were designed to be played with a stick. Which reminds me, does anyone know of any Virtua Tennis competitions?
Shenmue is great on a stick you only miss out on the precision of the analog for View Mode. I found myself enjoying the fight sequences a lot more when I began playing it with a stick VS the DC controller.
I’m using mine right now for the Gundam VS series (Fed vs Zeon, Gundam vs Z, Seed Destiny) but thats an obvious choice lol xD
I’m also using it for Odin Sphere, which makes a big difference after you get used to the buttons. I’m actually trying to get the good ending without grinding and my HRAP2A just got me past 2 of the bosses in the final huge boss battles before the end. I even beat one without any items (OS players should know how hard that is without any items or grinding at all =O).
And I’d love to try it on Shenmue as soon as Markman confirms that PS2>X360 converter from Laugh is lagless so I can order already xD
Just thought I’d return and say that I have managed to win an online match in Gears of War 2 using an arcade stick. You could only turn by roadie running and I only used chainsaws to get kills, but I managed to get 2nd place on my team which won.
Has anyone played Bionic Commando Rearmed for the PC with a PS3 arcade stick?
Was about to buy this game off of Steam but under controllers it only listed an XBox360 controller specifically. So I don’t want to buy this game and not be able to play it since my stick is for PS3 only.
Zelda-style games work well with a joystick. Breaking out a JLF on some classics like Legend of Zelda reveals how shoddy the controls in the game are, which could ruin memories for you. But it won’t get any better.
Yeah, shmups and Danmakus are great with sticks…
sticks are awesome for overhead games as well, if the control scheme is with a keyboard/controller instead of point and click.
Even though some puzzle games were made for arcade. I prefer keyboard for them, just because you can be so precise with taps and with a stick you hit diagonals accidentally which for me, reduces speed.
I disagree, it’s playable, only needs MAX 6 buttons, right analog and d-pad don’t change the game but it’s awkward and not that comfortable… I had to, because my DS3 is not here yet (My old controller broke, sold it for 35 bucks tho LOL) and I wanted to complete 2-player LBP stuff without going online.
Anyone played gunstar heroes, Soldern X himmestummer (misspelled probably), critter crunch and/or numblast on a stick? I’m thinking bout getting them and they seem like they would be perfect with a stick
