Word on Torment. That game rules; One of the few CRPGs where I’ve actually wanted to read what people were saying.
Also Total Distortion, which I actually learned about through a friend, but I think we’re two of maybe 30 people worldwide who played that weird-ass game. Cool ideas, cool atmosphere, but the game kind of sucked ass.
Other than that… uh… Metal Storm for NES? Did people play that? I don’t know.
One of the best games I’ve ever played as far as story and characters go. Going to have to reinstall it now…
I’ve never met anyone else who’s played Shadow of Memories (Shadow of Destiny in the US) on PS2. It was an adventure game, I guess, with a lot of different endings depending on how you went about the story. I probably wouldn’t enjoy it so much anymore, but at the time I thought it was a really intriguing game.
Machines: Wired for War, an RTS by Acclaim. Oh how I loved it. There was something about the units and the ability to go into first person that drew me in every time. Had some hard ass single player missions down the line though.
Edit: Oh yea, it did have a pretty good .
Aw yeah!! Metal storm was that shiznit! Although I never did finish it, I loved every minute of it.
Indeed. Forsaken was great. I could never get my friends on the ship to play it because the idea of flying upside down made them suffer flight-sickness.
…So of course I played it exclusively.
there’s a funny guy in every crowd.
One game that comes to my mind is chakan: the forever man. It wasn’t really all that obscure mind you, I just never found a copy that lets you past that one stage. In other words, Never beat it and never heard of anyne who did. I wonder if an emulator exists that has fixed that problem yet?
EDIT: Tetrisphere for the n64. I don’t know of another living soul who has played that one. I liked it though and would play again if possible.
Both were fun as hell. Not many people around me knew what the hell it was, or if they existed, though. Syndicate Wars reminded me of GTA with the mindless attacking of civilians. Haha…
