I only use it for those naruto games. (Laugh @ me now). I do have CVS2 for it as well but I only bought it for the cube cause it was on sale and I thought at that time that if I and enough people bought it, that capcom would release other fighting games on the cube. However they did not.
i think DC version is still easier to obtain in america
ps2 version is mad rare and its not a popular ps2 game so even finding a pirated version nowdays would be difficult (could be wrong)
wheras while there is no american dreamcast version at all, it is one of the most popular dreamcast games and i found and used a torrent for it last week (i have a real copy but my japanese dc broke down like years ago and i hate swap disks)
The DC version. PS2 version only had like, one print run and that’s it. I stole my copy from a friend. He wasn’t playing it and I said “Yoink!” Now my copy collects dust.
Anyway, this thread is ‘lulz’ as Mizuki mentioned. So, I leave you with a quick diversion:
I’m going to make this confession here instead of visiting my priest…
…About two years ago, I was playing this game with my younger cousins and because they suck at fighters, I decided to give them a chance by playing EO along with them.
Are there any games where the later revisions were the ones everyone wanted to play? It seems usually the first run of a game is the one people like, over what happens later. (I would technically call for this purpose NG, 2I, and 3S different games instead of just revisions for this sake of this question.)
cause then it wouldnt be a bore me to tears turtle fest anymore, and who would want to play that?
oh RC “balances” the game because it gives the low tier a fighting chance, just like 3s parrying “balances” the game. mvc2 doesnt have any bs like that, which is why it isnt a bore me to tears turtle fest.
Actually it IS standard in the GC/Xbox versions. Only PS2/Dreamcast where arcade-like. Plus the GC controller blew ass for fighting games that aren’t SSBM.
I haven’t played the GC version of CvS2, but I thought the controls were off in the Xbox version. I bought it, and returned in order to get the PS2 version again- an extra $10, and well worth it. Maybe I’m alone on this, but I thought the controls were off in CvS2, and KOF: Neowave, as well. I didn’t have any luck with my arcade stick (SF Anniversary), Akuma pad (same), or Type S controllers.
Last I played, you literally can always choose AC when playing EO, meaning all the buttons are at your disposal. It is basically just like picking any of the grooves.
I honestly don’t think CvS2: EO is nearly as bad as most folks make it. The only crippling flaw with the game is that the GC isn’t that great of a controller.
