Thank you to everyone who showed up and especially to Sam No, Dugg, and was it Kaleo who brought the last setup? I’m starting to think KOF might be my favorite FG out now.
Riki-oh posted some good advice, but I’m still frustrated to hear that happened. Hopefully it was it’s time to go, but when you don’t know who last had it, how do you judge that? To anyone going to any event, remember Riki-oh advice and if you’re going to use someone else’s stick, make sure they know about it! Thanks to all the people who asked me before they picked mine up. I respect what you said, so I’ll see you in Lynnwood, Toe-fu, and the SRB.
Grats to our winners Will, Cam, and Duncan. Thanks to Will for the advice, Cole for my favorite matches of the night, and everyone else I played or talked to. We had a lot of people show up way before their event started, stayed long after they ended, or just showed up to see everybody else. I do have recordings from one of the setups. We were more concerned about making sure each setup was in use rather than recordings, so the matches I have are from all over the place, but I do have Grand Finals for SF4, at least. I think I’ll have them up by Sunday, but I’m never on time with these >.>
We’ll be back in our new location near Alderwood Mall next week. See you then!
GameClucks has 3 monitors along with one guy bringing his from home (thank you Raven!). The rest of our setups (5-7 with room for more) are played on CRTs. The tournaments are held on monitors. No one needs to bring monitors, but know that they would help, be very appreciated, and see use.
We’re gonna go for all three tournaments Thursday. AE and KOF will be from 6-8pm. UMvC3 at 8-10pm. $2/3 entry depending on size. Reply, message, or text me if you’ll be late and I’ll try get you in depending on time.
Hope you’ve all been doing well. I managed to get eliminated in AE last Thursday by a guy I convinced to enter, faced T-Bone in tournament for the millionth time, go 0-2 in UMvC3, and somehow have KoF, the game I didn’t own, be my best game. I finally bought KoF. It shall drop in price the minute I can’t get any money back >.>
Looking forward to Thursday. Especially want to focus in Marvel for all the events this month.
I won’t be able to make it Thursday. Me and my girlfriend are going to see a movie that night since it’s the only day I have off this week. Coincidentally though the theater we’re going to is right next to GC so I may stop in for a bit to see how things are going.
Don’t think I’m gonna be coming in today. I hurt my wrist falling off a jump while snowboarding a couple days ago. Now I’m too sore to play video games…can’t even execute a dp motion right now. ><
Edit: Brackets: AE, KoF, and MvC3
Grats to Paul Lee for AE and myself for KoF and MvC3. Unedited replays should be up Sunday at the latest, but I’ll try to get them up tomorrow night.
Thanks to everyone that came out! We had a lot who couldn’t make it due to injury, school, dates, etc. but then we had, what, 5 new faces? It was nice to meet you all! I keep meaning to take pictures of the new venue, but then I start playing games. For now, here’s some that Chris took when the place was being setup. We had 14 people with 6 setups going, 4 on monitors.
Next week (Jan 19) we will have Thursday Night Fights, but the location is not definite yet. It may be another Dante’s event or it will be in Lynnwood. I’ll try to let you guys know by Monday.
GameClucks Monthly AE/MvC3/KoF/MK tournament will be held Saturday at Dante’s in the U District. Doors open at 2pm. You can find the details on SRKor Facebook. I’ll be there! Also, good luck to those heading to Vancouver!
Edit: And we’re back in Lynnwood this week.[/details]
How weird, I seem to have lost the ones with you winning… they’ll be up later tomorrow. Surprise sessions Friday and the monthly + Toe-Fu all went late >.>
Also, we’ll be in Lynnwood this week.
Edit: Here’s AEand UMvC3from last week, unedited for now.
[details=Spoiler]And we’re cancelled for today. Next Thursday we will be at Dante’s on January 26. This means we should be back in Lynnwood on February 2. More details coming soon.
To anyone else thinking about it, I’m going to be picking up Soucalibur V and would like to start holding tournaments for that in Lynnwood as well (assuming we have the numbers). I know that, at least, Raven and Pat are interested.[/details]
