Yes, and I think the venue fee is $3. Come give us some more marvel competition!
BTW, who is going to be there tomorrow?

Yes me and Cameron will be there like always. As for venue fee it’s $3 and for tournaments it depends on either $2-$3 depending on how many people enter.
so no more “bliss acupuncture?” and gameclucks is there in it’s place now? where will i ever get my acupuncture done?.. anyhow, how many ps3 set ups do you guys have?
We have a guy that brings his ps3 for anyone who wants to do match ups on there. Otherwise we encourage anyone to bring whatever they’d like to get more setups of that kind going.

RIP bliss acupuncture. We have more than enough 360s, but just the one PS3. A few people have asked, so if anyone reading this is willing to bring their PS3, we do have people who prefer it. As usual, please bring sticks!
I should be there early. The plan is to run all three events again. We’ll have KOF and SF4 run simultaneously at 5:30. Marvel will happen at 7:30. Entry fee for each event is $3. Place third or higher and you get, at least, your entry back. If competing isn’t your thing, the tournaments are great to watch or we have casuals going on the whole time.
Post or message me if you have any questions. Looking forward to the new place!
I’m here! Where is everyone?!?!
Hey, not sure if any of you at the store are reading this, but I left my standard edition madcats stick there (they were using it for SF4 2012). Please let me know if it’s still there. If it is, I might ask one of you if its possible to bring it to Dante’s for me.
Did you know that GameClucks has not moved to an apartment complex just north? Google Maps didn’t.
Klaste, I got it. I’ll bring it to Dante’s.
GGs tonight and hello to all the new faces. Another 15 or 16 people with some of our regulars on vacation. Grats to CryoPlasma for winning KOF, BitQ for AE, and Black Travis for UMvC3. No videos this week. Brackets: KOF, AE 2012, and UMvC3. Wish I got more casuals in. Gotta make up for this next week. Speaking of next week, we will not be at GameClucks. Instead…
Thursday Night Fights @Dante’s (U District)
Facebook Events Page
Address: 5300 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105
Date: Thursday, January 5
Time: 5-10 PM.
Games: SSF4 AE 2012, UMvC3, and KOFXIII
Entry fee: $10 ($4 venue + $6 tournament)
Each additional event is $5
Casuals / Spectator Fee: $5
Under 21 is OK until about 8 PM
Schedule:
Registration goes until 15 min before the event start time.
AE starts at 6 PM
UMvC3 starts at 7:30 PM
KOFXIII starts at 8 PM
The goal of this is to provide tournaments in a central location more often at an inexpensive price (typically $25 for two events at the monthly, this would be $15). This will be a fast event as we only have the five hours. If this goes well, this may turn into a monthly or bi-monthly event on Thursdays. We are in need of setups, so please bring monitors, consoles, and/or discs if you can!
Edit: The first three people to bring complete setups will have their venue fee waived.
Damn you and bitq have been going back and forth for a while huh? Rivalries forming
Are you guys waiving venue fees for bringing setups? And how heavily enforced is the under 21 thing?
I’m starting rivalries with everyone it seems! I even have a stage rivalry with T-bone! Regarding the under 21 thing: I’ve never seen them card anyone who stays past 8. If you leave and try to come back or if you don’t get there until after 8, that’s another story.
Thanks Loz. I’ll be there. I know some better KOF players show up at Dante’s, not sure if they will be there on a Thursday though - I’ll enter the tournament regardless. I’m curious though - will there be anything setup before 5? If so I wouldn’t mind arriving early, because traffic is a bitch past 3PM or so, and I don’t feel like paying the 520 toll. :\
Also, I met a SF4/KoF player at my place of work - Iron Dragon - but forgot to ask him for his screen name here. If you happen to glance at this, please give a reply - me and CryoPlasma need some more people in the area to play against.
Also, I still really want a Hit-Box, but it’s still not available for 360. :\
Tomorrow’s the day! Just a reminder that we need setups. The first three complete setups will have their venue fee waived. Please bring anything you can! Consoles with save data is especially important now because SF4 and MvC3 both require patches and KOFXIII requires save data for Saiki and Billy. There is no wired connection, so we cannot recover profiles.
Klaste, dunno. Would like to get casuals in before then, too. Gonna ask around if anyone wants to host something for a little bit. Also, you could get a hit box and get someone to dual mod it? I know a guy who just did that. I’ll ask him how much that ended up.
I’ll be out for tomorrow. Have a lot to do =.
Can’t make it either since my mom’s coming out from the hospital after having knee surgery and recovering.
Is Thursday Night Fights going to be held at Dante’s from now on?
Hope to see you guys next week.
Depending on how this goes, one or two of the Thursday Night Fights a month may be held at Dante’s. It will not be all of them.
Because of tonight, I will no longer be attending any events held at Dante’s. Someone took my stick without permission and when I found it later it was broken. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. This is the last straw among many unpleasant things associated with Dante’s. The noise there makes it more or less impossible to hear what is going on in your match, and talking to other people is an exercise in lip reading (unless you are talking to Carlos or Duncan…lol). Spectators are constantly bumping into players during tournament matches because of the cramped area. The absence of lighting makes it difficult to keep people from swiping your stuff. And I don’t even need to talk about the chairs, heh…
I expect people will respond with stuff like “deal with it” and “this is nothing compared to playing in an arcade.” If other people are willing to settle for an environment like that, then good for them. I just think the scene deserves better. I look forward to seeing how the new GC location works out. I’ll still be showing up to Toe-fu, salty-runback, etc. See you there!
bitq
It will just be there once or twice a month there. Other than that the regular meetups are at GC.
Sorry to hear that BitQ, bars are always a mess to do anything but drink and be drunk. As far as the stick goes, I’d say stay attached to it at all tournaments or find a designated stick watcher when you are not available to watch it yourself. That equipment is far to valuable to my gaming life to mistreat or misplace, and I too have had to learn to be greedy with my stick due to a few situations. Oh also, put something on your stick to signify it’s yours, that way if anyone else is using it you will notice.
