It’s easy to get volcanic roar out, but Iron rage is a different story, you have to delay the cancel somewhat. The dp motion ususally makes me get Volcanic roar instead of Iron rage.
yeah good point about that but I rarely use the 2 bar combo unless I am 100% sure it will kill. I think I can do the remaining 200k in chip and what not.
Sorry if this has already been posted but I haven’t seen an Iron Fist Combo getting to 1,000,000(no XF, lv3,DHC) yet and thought I could help out any way I can. I’ve only been using Iron Fist for about 2 or 3 days and went to Shoryuken.com for some combos.
But noticed none did much more than what I was already using. I noticed assists could stop the ground bounce of Cresent Heel and thats bascially how I figured this out. Again sorry if 1,000,000 has already been meet by burning two Hypers with Ironfist.
Iron Fist can already break a million solo. The only bad part of your combo is that it starts with the power chi. Most of the time, if you aren’t in the middle of a combo, you’re gonna want defense chi activated.
i started messing around with Frank West on my iron fist team last night and found a combo that does over a million damage, gets frank to level 4, and it starts and ends with iron fist on point, the combo builds 2 meters, so it can be done as soon as the match starts
its mostly a Frank West combo i guess, but i figure it starts and ends with iron fist, so thats something, and sorry for the bad camera angle, couldnt find my tripod so i had to use a clamp and that didnt work out to well
It’s a fine combo but they are so many that do more damage with red chi. Also it’s cool that you incorporated IF’s S into the combo considering how terrible it is and how rare it is to see it but other than that good shit. One you can do is
:h:fd.:h::qcf::l::qcf:: red chi :h: cr.:h: fd.:h: jump cancel air:h::s: land while they are airborne :h: bk.:h::qcf::l::qcf: red chi:qcb::qcf::l::qcf::h: iron rage cr.:h: fd.:h: volcanic roar. Does 950k+ with no red chi at the beginning and no assists. With assists like spencer’s you can break 1mil with no red chi from start.
It’s his bnb and if you want to apply pressure you can start with :h: cr.:h: fd.:h: and continue from there for 850k no red chi. Thats also a good start string because if they block the cr and fd.:h: you can jump cancel the fd.:h: to make it safe.
I’ll have to check meter gain in the guide to see how that compares to the combo I do. Before the iron rage, I do qcf+H xx qcf+M. After, I just do b.H. Does 956k.
Doesn’t do that much of a difference. I actually replace all my qcf m with qcf h for the same effect unless I need the crumple but if they are airborne qcf h all day.
i dont know if you have godlike execution or anything, but i’ve spent some time trying to perfect the chi cancels. If you do a chi cancel TOO FAST, then the chi will not take effect and you will actually REMOVE any chi powerup you had previously. I’ve tested this out numerous times in my bnb combo and half the time it results in less damage, and the other half it results in not that much more damage to even be worth it. In my opinion, the chi cancel isn’t worth learning. I believe I have proof of this chi removal in my iron fist guide video.
sense he uses the Spencer assist at the same time as the OTG ground bounce it negates it.
If you use an assist at the same time it doesn’t count as a ground bounce so he can do it again.
I’ve been using a fun, solo, no x-factor combo that does ludicrous damage, but, naturally, costs 4 bars. There isn’t really any new tech, but since all we’ve been talking about is how much he sucks, I thought I’d share.
and if this is easier
M H f.H Lotus Whip Dragon’s Touch Red Chi H cr.H fH jumpxx j.H j.S land M H b.H Twin Snakes Iron Rage cr.H f.H Twin Snakes Crescent Heel Red Chi Dragon’s Prey
Execution notes
Kara cancel the final red chi into lvl 3 to get the full 480k at the end
Cancel the first of the twin snakes (just before the Iron Rage super) after the first hit. The move is only in there to serve the opponent up to get full hits from the super, so if you let both go, you may miss.
No matter where you start on screen, the opponent will always end up behind you after iron rage. So while the notation assumes you’re doing everything from the P1 side, you’ll be flipping the inputs after the super.
It does 1.19m damage, works anywhere, and as far as I can tell, it doesn’t work on She Hulk or, ironically enough, Iron Fist, they fall to the floor too quickly after you catch them from iron rage. If you go for green chi after the crumple, it builds 1.5 bars and still does north of 1.1m.
It’s not terribly hard and it looks awesome. I hope to one day OTK a Nemesis or something with it.
Do we have a list of people who extended combos which use :d::h: to :f::h: doesn’t work on?
I think that in addition to those two it alwo doesn’t work on Spiderman, but it was last week sometime when I found that out so I’ll need to recheck again tomorrow if I get chance, and maybe I’ll do a full cast test just to see.
Interestingly enough I was at a tournament yesterday and during casuals one of the UK’s better players was performing a Felicia BnB and he did OTG into level 1 hyper on 2 seperate occasions and both times IF popped out mid-hyper and I was able to tech and punish the second time when I realised it might happen again. So he definitely does have a slightly iffy hurtbox.
I try to keep my dummies in training mode random just to spot check for stuff like this, and it does work on most. I’ll try to switch it up more methodically the next time I’m in the lab just to be sure.
It does a bit under 900k, you’d be better off doing what has become the standard bnb, or some slight variation. Behold:
