In one of the gamespot videos when he is showing rolento he said that it has to have two consecutive hits if you want the launch to work
But is it 2 consecutive hits before :h::h:? Or two consecutive hits before the :h:.?
Yea in the video here around 4minutes he said before it was indeed :hp::hp:. now he said it only comes out by chain. He didn’t specified where you started but do all chain start with :lp:? I’m pretty sure you can go from :mp: to :hp: with no problem
You must be right. I’m surprised people aren’t complaining that much about long juggles not having any counter move, it’s basically preventing the player to play for dozens of seconds. SFIV series was marvelous for that, it kept the matches very technical because there was very few downtimes, even when you are dominated.
Downtimes like 20 seconds juggles are just breaking the fighting pace
I have a small question about if this game has OTGs.
If the person has already bounced on the floor twice, and you still are able to hit them, does that mean it counts as an otg?
Btw from this video is it normal for a character to react like this when getting hit?

Its from the beginning of the video. Nina gets punched in the head by ken but it looks like she fell when she didn’t.
As for gems, it all depends on whether it could be turn off. If so, it can be a really interesting addition. If not, it will suck. But I’m pretty sure you will can turn them off
My theory on the gems revolve around those pics of the new bar with what seemed like circular slots along it.
I think the way it will work is that you equip however many gems you are aloud to equip to each slot, and as the "Gem meter"builds once it reaches the allocated gem it’s affects (whatever they may be) become activated. If it works that way It could make things very interesting.
Also I believe there will be Gameplay gems and Costume gems to pimp out your character. Ono mentions that the gems not only change the way you look but how you play from that last interview.
Someone obviously hasn’t played Alpha 3:

Or 3rd Strike:

We were fine with it then, we’re fine with it now.
^Winning
Besides, the system should reward good offense, with more offense.
How would guys rate the knock down, wake up mechanic in this game.
You can tech knock downs?
Can you only tech roll only if you don’t do a quick get up?
Think rolls will do more good than bad?
What (offensive & defensive) options you can do on wake up
Looks like gems may alter size of certain specials
So I guess size=Damage?
Just making it look bigger would be kinda…useless?
Ultradavid is not exactly happy with the current state of the game but he did tell in the NSB chat stream that Cross Assault is now only a Level 3 move. No more activating it @ 25% health, makes sense since Pandora replaces it for that sorta thing.
I don’t actually think that’s a different fireball we’re seeing in that screenshot. It just looks smaller because it’s during the start-up animation when the fireball is just getting released.
What’s his beef with the game anyway? Pandora?

Hahahahahahahah
Capcom defense force assemble?
Does it really matter? Daigo thought SFIV was trash and said the game didn’t deserve his Ryu, and this was a finished product.
I remember J.wong saying that MvC3 was a piece of shit. Casual button masher or something to that effect.
So yeah, haters gonna hate.
