Galactic Empire ClevelanD: Midwest thread titles are f-ing sad

they should sell limited edition van damme buttons for SSF4

It made my day to see that I’m not the only one with a Van Damme themed stick.

And I would so buy those buttons.

I wish my stick had a bottom, and that i had 2 bucks to buy some mounting bolts.

lol, I bet you do.

I’ll get them to you this week.

Harmon, you should find out if you do not need a Pandora battery for a 1000 – someone told me you didn’t but I’m not sure if that’s true. There’s not any big downside to getting a 1000 or anything though outside of the fact you’re buying a PSP.

btw 2000s have the same battery power as a 1000 as far as I know. It’s a different battery than the 1000 (smaller) but it holds the same charge as a 1000 would. That’s what I read and was told at least. If you put a 1000 battery in a 2000 you’d have a bigger charge – and it would be hanging out of the machine

I decided not to buy SSFIV till it’s $7 on SRK (just in time for SB5). I think John has the same idea, so Harmon/Linwood, if you guys are serious about trying it we can’t help

For the PSPs. Either version is fine. The real difference between the slim and fat versions is internal memory. The fat has 32mb of RAM while the slim has 64MB. It helps with load times some, but homebrew apps are what take advantage of it the most. Real PSP games play at full speed on either one. Modding the thing with a Pandora is real easy. If you do not have a Pandora you’re in for a trip. Just avoid the 3000 series and the PSPGo if you want to take advantage of these wonderful homebrew applications.

What they say about the battery is pure grade A bullshit. If you mod the thing to run off the memory stick its battery life really will triple (if you stream your games off the memory stick). If you find the extended battery pack you can play the system clocked to full speed (333MHz) for 8 hours. With the slim battery pack you can get about 3-5 hours. If you decide to do netplay like with Monster Hunter that will reduce those times by another 20%. All the blame lies with firing up the laser on the UMD drive. That is the culprit in making the system have a lousy battery life, but custom firmware solves that real nice.

I figured out why you and Harmon were beating on Thrax. I didn’t have enough SF:The Movie trading cards glued to my MAS.

Oh my God, no matter how bored you are, do not ever click on the Saikyo thread.

I DONT UNDERSTAND EX OR ULTRAS = read the goddamn manual

GGs in Marvel last night, I’m sure you guys were like wtf at all that abnormal top tier teams I was playing lol. It’s just not as fun as Colossus/Zangief =P

Yeah John, Rolento would be crazy in Marvel.

Harmon, keep it up man, you’re really looking good in Marvel dude

Hopefully Harmon and I will be announcing our Cleveland tournament this week, with venue pics, fake excitement over SSFIV (speaking for myself only), etc.

:amazed: Cleveland has a FG scene?! Why did no one tell me?

Anyways I just wanted to say hi to everyone. My names Jess and I away at school for now but i will be returning to Cleveland this summer. I’m huge into SF4 but I also play MvC2 and HDR as well. Pretty much down for anything as long as its fun. I’ll probably add a few of you to xbox live if you don’t mind. I was also wondering in what city you guys usually meet up (I’m from Strongsville).

we play in macedonia, theres a crew doing fight nights on fridays in cleveland as well. who do you use in marvel?

I see, that’s about 40 minutes away from where I am. :frowning: I’ll probably just stick around Cleveland unless you all have something cool going on.

I play Marvel very casually and I usually roll with my femme fatale team of Psylocke, Cammy, and Rogue. But now with word of Marvel 3 I might get back into MvC2 more.

I see someone mentioned a tournament? Any word on a date or anything? I need to get pumped for EVO :nunchuck:

we play in cleveland and unfortunately aren’t prostars in MvC2 like the dudes down in Macedonia. We usually roll with third strike, SF4, and then random things like the EX series and Project Justice after I knock back a few. But if people want to play MvC2 we will make room to play that, too.

we’re the ones doing things in fridays. have any interest just go ahead an PM me about the details and any questions

I mainly play HDR since it has Deejay so feel free to add me if you want to get some matches in but yeah I’d be all for learning MvC2 since I actually went through the effort to buy it.

If that’s the case, I’ll play a couple rounds with you, Lady.
I’ve SFIV, HDR, and MvC on Xbox Live, so I’ll send you a request in case you wanna go at it.

MvC3 not until Q2 2011, if you thought the SSFIV forums were bad…you should see how many threads already got closed in the MvC3 forums and this is day 1 of its existence lol.

If anyone wants to play HDr feel free to add me.

nobody really said we were prostars we just enjoy playing fast paced fighting games and we play alot more than just marvel
