I think I figured out a way to get a third set up going. If I devote it to ST, then I don’t need anything he except a second ps2 stick (unless someone wants to use a pad).
If we devote the third setup to melty butt/arcana butt/blaze butt/king of butt then I might need someone to bring a third console. We probably won’t need it unless we have another big group, but its just something I’ve been thinking about lately, especially if the tally guys ever want to come down for another tourney here.
I like dante in her place because I can’t actually use phoenix as an assist. Using arthur without support is just pointless. I might come back to phoenix at some point.
When the hell did you start playing Dark Phoenix? Did this happen at the gathering yesterday?
Also I can bring my monitor, my 360 hd for kof2002, ps3 and ps2 for melty and arcana anytime…I don’t mind at all. I want to play melty the most because it’s the only game I have for my japanese ps2 and I don’t want to think it was a waste to buy it if nobody will play it. I just wanted to know if anyone else would play besides Jon and I. And I’ll play ST. I’m ass in HDR so it would be awesome to get flossed in that game.
And Jon, have you heard of a game called Vanguard Princess? If not it’s a free fighter for PC…google it and I think you’ll like what you see.
you got to need an assist that get people off your Arthur, so I say Haggar replace Dante. To be really cheap replace Morrigan with hidden missiles, eh, I mean Dr. Doom, since you will get meter with Arthur anyway. So Arthur and hidden missile all days, when they are close, call Hagger assist and you are free to move again.
Ahaha, wow. I actually tried this really early on. I think I gave it a try before I got into BB [which means I had less of an idea about how to play fighting games than I do now], and I remember not knowing what I was doing and trying to force combos [but it did have really detailed sprites]. It was on 1.01 at the time. Maybe now I’ll watch some videos and see what the gameplay is actually like.
Yeah I was trolling pat with it the other night. It was fun but I didn’t like leaving arthur without any defensive assists and saving meter for phoenix just isn’t fun.
I started off with haggar, but I’m ass with him. Dante’s assist - if called out early enough - forms a huge wall that stays out there for a long time and if it hits, it hits multiple times and its easy to hit confirm into goddess bracelet. I haven’t spent much time with dante outside of spamming assist so I don’t have much to show for with him. I still have no idea what I want to do with morrigan yet, but I’m having fun messing around with her in training mode.
i much prefer melty scrub and blaznoob. and i think i hhad that tmnt game when i was little. it was so ass i just played turtles in time every time i wanted to tear shit up with raph

Have any of you tried the Mortal Kombat demo yet? I was a MK kid, never really was into SF back then. I enjoyed what I played of it so far. Waiting to see what the full game shapes up to be though…
