Tried Marvel 3 at Gamestop (thanks for reminding me of their demo stations) on Archer. Not sure how I feel about them dumbing down the L/M/H K/P buttons into L/M/H/Special buttons. 
Games not bad meanwhile, but it seems like Wesker and Chris don’t work together for DHC which throws a wrench in my “Team Biohazard” plans.

ggs, Rob. Don’t worry, this game is faster than SF, so it take some time to get used to the speed.
IMO, MvC3 is pretty broken and Sentinal just make it worse. And btw, I play top tiers so I main Dante and Sentinal.
5a 5b 5c 623a (jump) j.a j.b j.b 236s is an easy ~450k damage combo for Haggar. He’s fun but I can’t figure out how to combo into his hyper.
Edit: The Haggar forum definitely has nicer combos, now that I look at it. Wow. Haggar does so much damage.
I’m really enjoying Spencer. Too bad you can’t assist during specials or he’d be really good. From what I can tell, most of his combos make you either use your normals first/rushdown [and what’s the point of that?] or don’t do too much damage. Wish he was more like Hazama.
I’ve spent two days practicing dumb things like Chun’s Lightning Legs loop and weapon switching with Amaterasu and I still can’t do either of them. I’m going to be really bad next gathering, just saying. Also, Dormammu’s interesting.
At least you aren’t having to wait for Amazon to ship the damn thing. It’s going to end up being the first time I play if its being played this weekend. :sad:
Team SF: Chun, Ryu, Akuma
Everyone says Ryu isn’t that great, well… I want people to keep sleeping on Ryu. Has some of the highest damage output in the game for a character his size.
Yeah it definitely does. That or I just don’t know dante/wesker that well. Do they have some crazy hi/low mixups because so many times I felt like I was guarding and before I knew it I was in an air combo. Also I think I was trying to push block and maybe it registered in the game as pressing a normal or something.
I’m still working on getting my team down. I really like using hulk’s gamma charge to help when people get in on arthur but being forced to use hulk when things go south is just asking for trouble.
Had some free time, so I swung by the Archer gamestop as mentioned earlier in the thread and played some MvC3 at the station there.
I think I’m in love. I knew I’d like from just watching it, but actually seeing how fluid it is in action is good stuff. Only tried out a few characters before finishing some errands, but Dante and Amaterasu were the favorites so far.
The only reason why people think ryu is bad because he can’t cancel his dash with a normal like most of the cast can. He can still do some of his old TvC combos and his shinku hadouken super does a fuck load of damage for a beam super. He’s going to be a keep away character for the most part in this game, at least for now. But he’s good, just not great.
Doesn’t really cut it for a broken game like Marvel.
This is true, I think rushdown beats him most of the time.
Also I think it’s a safe idea for all of us to start learning Sent. Just saying XD
Oh yeah, I’m pretty sure that if we don’t want to be free at this game at least one of us has to pick Sent…
We’re not all Jwongs or ClakeyDs unfortunately. I’m surprised they said that Phoenix is strong on Eventscrubs.
It’s okay. I’ll have a Dormammu/Sent/Magneto alt team. No problems.
So… my 360 copy is still in indiana. Can someone bring one saturday? There shouldn’t be a need for extra systems or monitors. Bring your sticks/pads as always.
Do you need a PS3 copy too? Or are you planning on having all 360’s?
Nope, amazon sent my ps3 copy tuesday afternoon.
360 version is slow since I wanted the sweet shuma shirt from the capcom store’s pre order bonus.
My ps3 and (new) 360 work so I’m good on the console front.
I’ll bring my 360 copy.
And yeah I’m surprised at how clakeyd played. I didn’t think that morrigan assist would give you that much meter, but he was doing triple DHCs and he still had at least 1.5 bar left. I’m glad he got those x-23 youtube combos down XD

i checked my license today and i discovered my most played character. it was shocking really…trish. oh well at least its a guy character.
