It’s not a big deal. Press all the buttons on the top, then one on the bottom, then jump and press the same buttons again. Instant combo. It’s how I play Arcana Heart (which I guess I’m spending more money on…).
He’s only got like 5 or 6 days on us it’s really not that big of a deal. Also I’m down for some online matches tonight but I gotta get my combos down so I’ll be in mission mode for like an hour or 2. Plus my roommate and another friend will be coming over to my apt tonight for some games, but I’ll be on.
So is anyone picking the game up at the gamestop on archer? I’ll be there at 10 or so.
Do they start selling at 10, Matt? You think they might run out around 12?

No they let people in at 10pm so they can finish paying for the game if they haven’t already. They won’t sell the game until 12:01am

They should have extras…i’m sure not everyone that preordered it will be going to the midnight release. I preordered the regular edition but if they have extra special editions im getting that shit.
Actually, I finished fairly fast so I should be there at 10. Dunno what I could do for 2 hours at Gamestop though, the closest BB is kinda far for walking distance.
with the time i have had i have spent my time learning many characters and some BnB’s. only today have i begun to ‘specialize’ in some characters. cept for iron man. ive always picked him lol

I can’t really get excited for Marvel at all, you guys think SSF4 or any 2d fighter where you don’t fly all over the screen is going to still be played at gatherings when I get back from China in July?
netcode blows ass. its worse than ssf4. it better be sucking cuz so many ppl are on right now. ive played like 15 games and not a single perfect connection, most just around 1 full second of input delay.
I personally don’t think everyone’s going to completely drop SSF4. I mean, the only game anyone plays where we fly around the screen right now aside from Marvel is AH3, and that’s really just Matt (and me, to a lesser extent, but I’m trying…).
What other 2D fighter are you thinking of anyhow? There aren’t that many 2D non-air dashers, are there?
Think Capcom will do a quick patch? If I remember correctly, BBCS had a bad netcode issue on its release too.
It might be because I’m hungry, I’m tired, my screen’s too bright, or there are too many sounds, but playing this game for a little while is giving me a headache. And I can’t combo.
AH3 downloadable for PS3 soon…wuteva, my mind is set on MvC3 for now.

hey everyone, new to SRK, not new to fighters in general. i play mainly 3d fighters (tekken and soul calibur) but dabble in 2D every once in awhile. played quite a bit of BB CT and a little SSFIV and am probably gonna pick up marvel 3 now.
wanted to get in on some local games with whoever plays in the area. not sure if you guys have a regular place that you meet up or whatnot but if there are any gatherings, let me know.
i live over by the movie theater on newberry and can host a few people. i have a 42 inch viera flat screen in the living room and a 27 inch tube tv that i can move to the living room as well. i only have one ps3 so another system would be needed if more than 4 are coming over.

I usually host in my small apartment in south gainesville. I have a 50" panny plasma and a 32" hd crt that we play on. I have a ps3 and a 360 and usually there’s plenty of sticks to go around. We mostly stick to 2d fighters with ssf4 getting the most attention, but I’m pretty sure marvel 3 will take over for the most part. Some other guys play ah3, and occasionally you’ll see some BB and KoF too.
Its pretty cool that you can host as well, so maybe we could take turns in the future. I think the next time we’re meeting up is saturday, lets say around 2pm. I’ll PM you my info.
Dave is really into 3d fighters; I haven’t seen him posting in here at all though. Darius (also never see him posting in here) is too… you guys should play together.
When I get back, if anyone doesn’t really care for Marvel we can try to keep a solid SSF4 meetup going. I’m down for any 2d fighter really but just the way Marvel plays really puts me off and I can’t see it being anything other than something I would play on the side.
Darius comes by from time to time, but Dave is back in Tampa.
