Thanks for the encouragement. I just don’t feel as though I have time for Dormammu and Firebrand right now.
The Ultimate Dormammu thread has a skeletal structure that can be copy/pasted easily right now, though. So, if anyone wanted to steal it before I add all the info, they’re welcome to. I will definitely be a regular contributor in the Firebrand threads. I’m as close to 100% set on Firebrand/Dormammu/Morrigan as can be.
Is the throw guard break still in ultimate? I can see Marlinpie’s OS fierce/throw/assist working nicely with Firebrand.
Yeah I was hoping it’d be an air-dash command input with forward, back and down variations. That’s going to be an arse to get used to.
As for Bon Voyage yeah looking at the videos makes it seem kind of obvious that it’s actually a hit attack, although I wonder why the community has never seemed to dub a name for attacks like this…a striking throw or something would help imply specifically what moves like that do.

You shouldn’t be, of the 6 Capcom characters Firebrand is the one almost nobody wanted. If he’s Wolverine with wings like many people are guessing you can expect him to be picked up and used, but you shouldn’t expect him to become popular and well liked by your trenchcoat vs bad guys: fate of the 2 black alts crowd.
I think people should stop comparing him to a flying wolverine. Yes he has a speed up hyper and yes he has a berserker slash and dive kick, but he doesn’t have the raw damage that made wolverine so broken. Part of the reason he was so broken was that he his combos were so quick and damaging that using XF1 to kill a character still left you with most of your X-factor. Whereas getting hit Firebrand is like getting pelted my marshmallows, which is why he’s probably gonna be a little less derp than Logan, and probably less in your face as well.
I think soulcalibur calls them attack throws.
What move does he have that’s like Berserker Slash?
I’ve heard a few people compare that one swooping move to berserker slash but honestly that comparison is pretty weak. Hence why I don’t get the Wolvie comparison at all.
Well, he has claws, a divekick, he’s small, fast, a speed-up hyper. Not to mention his divekick groundbounces if the opponent is in the air so beginner Firebrand combo’s are gonna like kinda like Wolvie’s BnB. Oh, and Wolverine’s Fatal Claw is purple and so is Firebrand’s Dark Fire.
Visually I can kinda see the connection.
in 3s there are moves that go into a ‘throw’ animation that can be blocked but cannot be parried like strikes (ibuki raida, alex back+hp, oro’s grab 'n smash), they were just called semi-throws.
So lots of games have names for it then,just not universal between all.I personally choose to go with attack throws,purely because the game bothered listing them as that in command lists,but i would be wiling to change my vernacular depending on what the community does start calling it.
Also firebrand hype is outstanding,cant wait to go in the lab with him. Which is rare,i usually just end up there as a natural part of the game,this time i am looking forward to it.
I’m probably just going to call it Bon Voyage. 
Are you thinking of medium Demon Missile? It passes through on hit and when it’s an assist it appears to pass through on block. I hope when firebrand is on point it retains the pass through on block property. Good for mixup purposes with assists.
Still playing theoryfighter with the new characters. I don’t want to give up on my Skrull/Task as they consistently do the most work on my team. I’m just trying to figure out who else to squeeze in there. As awesome as Nova looks it smacked me in the face how amazing Firebrand on point with arrows behind him would be. I like it that Arremer is flying under the radar, that’s how I like my characters anyway 
Does Firebrand/Task/Skrull sound like good synergy? I think there are multiple ways you could arrange it but I love XF3 Skrull so much.
Firebrand/Taskmaster/Skrull: Team Halloween Mask
It’s hard to talk about team synergy this early, but I can’t think of a team that Taskmaster doesn’t fit well on.
I was thinking of using Dante’s Jam Session…good lock down and reinforces the idea that the sky is Firebrand’s domain. Too bad I fucking hate Dante 
Firebrand/Task sounds godlike. My first team with Firebrand is probably gonna be that with Doom as anchor using the Hidden Missiles. I might also give Hawkeye a try for that team instead of Taskmaster since he has a similiar assist (and a black-red color alt unlike Task).
Does anyone else feel as though the post count in a character’s thread reflects what that character’s usage will be on release? We’re the lowest despite being one of the first reveals, so…
To some degree yes… Being one of the first revealed characters probably hurt the post count a bit seeing as to most people Newer is better. There will be no shortage of firebrand players… he will probably wind up being one of the most played from the Capcom side once everyone gets over the new guy with the coat and sword…
