In the interest of having the UMvC3 character threads be as awesome as possible, I am posting here to offer up my current Ultimate Dormammu Thread as a base skeleton to anyone who intends to manage a character thread, or something similar, in Ultimate. It is currently stripped of information, and will remain so until about a week before release. I am not attempting to toot my own horn, but rather offer to others what took me quite a bit of work to do, so that those who would rather not spend the time on such things do not have to.
I have received a lot of compliments to-date about the structure, and a few people have requested permission to use its structure for UMvC3, so I thought I would go around and make the offer to others who might not be aware that someone out there has already done the grunt work for them (haha). Because I am posting this in all the character forums, and this is time consuming on its own, I have not taken the time to check for how developed the thread I am posting on current is. Thus, I ask that no one be offended at my suggestion if your character forum is well constituted already - I mean no intrusion upon your methodologies!

You are of course entirely welcome to change whatever you like if you want to incorporate this structure into your own thread. I have all of my posts saved as Word documents on my computer. I plan to only stick to creating and updating the Nova thread. Unless Thanos becomes DLC (highly unlikely).
So yeah, Bon voyage is the most awesome move in Ultimate.

I’m going to start every match with Bon Voyage canceled into Luminous Body, and then go for a 50/50 mixup.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see but I’m thinking he’s not going to be really popular with the casuals. He’s got a weird voice (non-human), slightly awkward movement, and isn’t really identifiable. That also means beasting with him is going to really bring the salt.
At least I hope that’s true, I’ll play whatever wins but I’m with you guys on the kiddie trenchcoat mafia.

Firebrand is still my favorite (and one of the only new characters I like) from the Ultimate cast. He will be on my main team.
i think once people see what fb can do with luminous body and lvl3, we’ll see a lot more of him. i think xf + luminous body + lvl3 is gonna make ppl sweat. here’s to hoping fb will have some abilities to call out assists during a superjump flight, considering he’s the games premiere flight character.
I plan on Using my main duo Viper/Dante and putting Firebrand at anchor because I never really found a true 3rd in Vanilla. I bounced around from Iron Man, Dormammu, Chris, Wesker, and Zero but no team ever really seemed complete. Firebrand level 3 xfc + level 3 seems ridiculous.
Four meters plus XF3 better kill a character.
Perhaps I am the only one who did not notice this in past videos, but Firebrand can activate luminous body in the air. It’s 6 mins in.

Is Firebrand a hero or a villain?

These things are always relative. A hero to demons, a villain to humans. You get the same thing from Morrigan: “She’s not a villain in Darkstalkers!” - they miss the part that she still devours the souls of men to sustain herself. Of course, you could get really relative, and say that Spider-man is a villain to Venom, etc. It’s a difficult argument to make.
By view totals, it’s pretty sad to see how little attention Firebrands getting. Considering how early he was released. i guess it’s going to take someone like Combofiend or Jwong to win with him, for most people to give him a second look, or even a first look for that matter. here is the results if your curious.
