Are there any Luminous Body specific combos ala beserker charge?

What is Firebrand capable of cancelling with his power up hyper?

Does he gain any extra special moves?
What about the range of his slide (which seems to be d.H)?
Do any of his normals double hit like Wesker’s st. H?
How good/bad is his meterless damage?
How fast is his fly cancel?
And finally, how many of his air specials hit overhead?

Does he have any fly combos?
What are the details on his luminous body? I mean we still haven’t seen w/e this new special move is that he gets in this mode and does he have any specific combos in that mode?
Does he have any lvl 3 specific combos and overall what options does his level 3 give
Can his level 3 break your opponents combos, like can you activate it while in hit/block stun?
Whats the deal with his flight? S-kill keeps talking bout how unique his flight is but I hear he can’t block and it doesn’t seem to last for a significant amount of time so what does make his flight unique?

I added the questions I feel are worthwhile to my personal life; thank you gents.

If Firebrand has a wall cling move, it will probably work something like it did in the Gargoyle’s Quest games. What with recovering his flight meter and being able to fly again. Maybe that might be why Seth considers it unique?

lol shout outs to cow and chicken, that show was some disgusting shit, but it had its funny moments.

On topic though, max is probably gonna cover GR and firebrand this wednesday and then maybe have a Q&A at the end of the week like he did with hawkeye n strider so ill prolly send all my questions to him. Can’t wait to see that coverage though cause I think of the original 4 GR and firebrand are probably the least explored at the moment. Maybe max might even discover this fabled new move he gets in luminous body.

this game needs a character like firebrand. he’s gonna be soooo annoying. can’t wait to see what he can do with his lvl3. his combos are gonna be bonkers

Holy shit Firebrand looks absurdly scary now. His mixups seem so godlike with the command jump/flight modes! I think this guy will be great with an assist like Taskmaster or Hawkeye, or another beam-like assist that doesn’t scale the shit out of your combo’s. And with his command dashes he could easily get in for an airthrow if people go on that upback. And wow, the fastfall, mayor flashbacks from Melee! I’m gonna love crossing up, fastfalling and going low with this guy. I can’t wait to try this guy out.

So I guess I’ll try Firebrand/Taskmaster and then some lockdown assist for corner madness. Maybe Doom with Hidden Missiles or Rocks? Seems like both Task and Doom could use the Demon Missile H assist for their zoning game, too.

I got hyped when I saw you can buff his LEVEL 3 with his power up super.

Firebrand and Trish on a team = saltiness

Firebrand and Trish will share the same bad matchups though - always very dangerous. You’d have problems against teams that use assists like Hidden Missiles and Jam Session.

Doom will get killed easily especially now that Trish hyper OTG, both have cancel-able dive kick.

My current list of Firebrand questions:

If Firebrand does launcher, sj.MMH, Bon Voyage, and then j.S, does the j.S spike his opponent?

What are the inputs for Firebrand’s fireballs while wall clinging? Can he do any other moves off of the wall cling? Can he call assists while clinging? How long can he cling for?

If Firebrand has used his wall bounce, does Bon Voyage cause a soft or a hard knockdown?

What sorts of follow-ups can Firebrand get off of his Demon Dash M and Demon Dash attacks H (I have no names), if any?

Can Firebrand get full solo combos off of his ground throw?

What is the durability on his fireballs? (i.e. what happens when they clash with a Hadoken?)

Does dive kick canceled into flight leave Firebrand with enough frame advantage that he can pretty much dive kick lockdown until his opponent decides to pushblock?

Is Bon Voyage safe on block?

What happens if Bon Voyage hits an assist, or hits an assist plus a character?

If you launch and spike immediately, can Firebrand pick up a character via his OTG fireball? Visually, I am thinking of something like Super-Skrull’s advanced relaunch combos.

Does Luminous Body’s speed boost open up the possibility for any new combos? For example, since Firebrand’s aerial Swoop attacks cause what seems to be a spinning knockdown with auto-recovery at some point, can he loop swoops? What about looping something like his OTG fireball, where you use the ability, dash forward, repeat?

How fast are Firebrand’s flight-cancels? (compare to another character if you can)

Can you control Firebrand’s level 3 helper while Firebrand is in blockstun or hitstun?

What do you feel makes Firebrand’s flight mode stand out from others? This has been something that Seth Killian mentioned in the past. Can he cancel into flight multiple times while in the air, staying aloft for a long time? Can he cancel into flight through his projectiles?

What is the difference between Firebrand’s three Bon Voyage commands, especially while he is in the air?
