Lol, and you still will never touch the point that you gave me Ricky's P360 stick which you KNOW needed to be fixed. It had no medium punch for God's sake. Even you had to admit you had to work on it. But you knew that before we started playing, so you knowingly gave me a broken stick to use. But I'm not complaining.
As far as me kind of standing there and not doing anything in some of my matches, well that's common. Since I really don't want to get hit, I generally don't stick out too many attacks. Especially in games like ST where bad counter hits or knockdowns can lead to a lot of problems. Anyway, I'll say by the time we got up the the room, I was pretty bored and tired, and I really was playing like I didn't give a fuck, because honestly I didn't. It was the same thing when I played Metal Mike at Waba, I was kinda in a I don't give a shit mood, so whatever. And I usually just sit there with the joystick and don't press any buttons. I don't play this way all of the time, but it happens occasionally. Hint if this happens, I'm obviously very frustrated, and it's a blatant attempt to slow down the match so I can re-evaluate distances and regain momentum in the match. If I get hit by 1 or 2 dumb things, I'll generally do that just to see how long the other guy can sit there doing nothing.If someone is ahead on you in a lot of matchups for ST… You’re only giving them more of an advantage by letting them sit there full screen.
great, this is step 1! but it’s not like everyone at WABA is unbeatable, esp w/ken. you can whoop on reverend/dirty all day.
That’s the beauty of using a zoning/long range characters. The minute I see you try to move, I stick out a poke to damage you, or walk up throw. It’s basically just a really sneaky way to make you guess when I going to move so you’ll run into something damaging. Which is why I always put a lot of emphasis on footsies, because it’ll be impossible to pull off otherwise. Also, as a lot of people haven’t notice, I back myself into the corner on purpose. I have 100% perfect corner defense. It’s nearly impossible to damage me while I’m in the corner. When I played Nato over metal mikes in Guile vs Guile, he was actually winning until he backed me into the corner (or more specifically I backed myself into the corner). When people get you in the corner, they get more aggressive or will try more mixups which exposes them to corner attacks.
Since I’m an arcade player, and have been backed into a corner several times, the very first thing I learned was corner defense. Basically, I get like all of my damage off of people when I’m cornered. I’m far more easier to beat mid screen.
There are some games where this obviously isn’t a good strategy (none are really, but few people realize that they’re being damaged more than I am in the corner). Marvel is a game where you can’t afford to be cornered and Alpha 3 either, and I’m not incredibly good at either game.
Thats why when I backed you into the corner doing nothing but butt stomps you didnt block a single one and got double perfected?
But I guess that was the fault of the flawless Sanwa you were playing on

It wasn’t the buttons, it was the actual joystick. My directions were off. And let’s not forget, you didn’t hit me with the butt stomps because of bad blocking, but because I was getting bazooka knees instead of flash kicks.
too be honest with you, the last game is a better evaluation (which you refuse to comment on, you wouldn’t be as good of a detractor if you did). Where in the corner I a) shut down any attempts at ambigous crossups (I’m in the corner, and Honda can’t crossup in the corner, and why would he since he’d corner himself if I blocked right). b) I jab, f. mk you out of hundred hand slaps and your super. c) counter threw you out of 2 Ochio tick throw attemps with my medium punch throw which if timed correctly will stop all of Honda’s tick throws. d) I backed myself into the corner baited your super with a jumping light punch (which actually delays Guile’s fall to the ground and beat you that particular round).
Nothing fancy, it just shows you I know how to defend myself against anything you’d do. timed jabs are a pain in the ass for honda, it stops everything he does. And I know how to time jabs and f.MK, d.MK with Guile perfectly in most game where he has the move (except in SF4 where the ranges of Guile’s pokes are really fucked up).
That is why I’m the minster of defense. But I know you play way better then how you were playing. I saw you playing on the cabs at FR, and you were playing with actual strategy. But I guess you were trying to show off, knowing that most people at Waba are probably not great ST players. that’s fine, but if you MM me, I can assure you it will not work.

Nah, I’m the Minister, because my strategies revolved around defending and not attacking. And I just say Ric Flair because of my desired gameplay style which is cheap and dirty. Meaning I always try to slow down matches, much like Ric Flair would do when whomever he fought was putting too much offensive pressure against him (he use to beg in the corner, and then counter attack). But then again, I say desired, I don’t think I’ve mastered it quite yet.
Neo is too gay looking with Spandex and black leather.
When I see Branh’s “Ric Flair of FGs” tag and then read his posts, it all makes sense, and I just laugh at his dedication to character.
Just start ending all your posts with “Whoa!” and maybe people will get it.

But, that still doesnt change the fact that a Sanwa JLF is an actual stick, as opposed to being a button that you can have problems with.
