The game’s been out a lot longer than a week. The part of the player base that’s reaching out to us new guys have been playing since the Japanese port came out.

not sure about stryker but if im not mistaken isnt one of ermac’s specials (mind slam thing i think) an unblockable? and it sets up for juggles? i haven’t actually look deep at either of those characters but i dropped trying to use sektor for similar reasons.
I still don’t have the game. or a ps3… I just use that arcade rip. And I have to borrow my girlfriend’s laptop to play that because mine is too shitty to run it. lol.
ddu+fk causes ermac to hover then slam the ground for an unblockable at close range its punishable on hit by quick lows.
b+bp is a cancelable charge-able attack that can be dash cancelled before releasing, unduckable, special cancel-able, and unblockable. The basis of Ermac’s offense looks like (At this point and in my opinion) it’ll revolve around this move and the fear it can cause. Playing defensively Ermac can punish mid-range mistakes with db+fp (Telekinectic Slam).
Ultimately I’m unsure if Ermac has what it takes to compete. He does have a few good tools though.
I just want to say that the more AH3 players, the better.

I think Ermac is one of the stronger characters, but he isn’t as powerful as…say, Nightwolf, or Kung Lao.
Why do you think that?

currently playin AH3, and trying to figure out this 5button style
LMH attacks, a fly at enemy button, and a button that makes something cool happen? that sounds right haha.
crazy characters in this game, any suggestions on whos good to start with? I’m playin the wolf girl right now.
Also @ Renox: nightwolf is pretty great.
The E button in Arcana heart is a universal unblockable (except with the time arcana)/launcher button, and all your arcana specials and supers are mapped to that button.
I assume by wolf girl you mean Nazuna? Everyone’s viable, so just stick to who you want to play. Picking out a good arcana is the harder part in choosing who to play. I really don’t have any idea as to what arcana pair well with her though =\
yeah, fear of one move isn’t enuff to base a whole character around IMO.
I have been playin alot with cyrax, and i think he could be pretty great too.

She just has really good normals. She’s limited a bit by her meter thing. If her meter runs out she loses pretty much all of her gatlings and can only zone with her normals until it returns.
And pretty much everyone in the game is cheap. I have a setup off of Eko’s rush super that takes off a good 20% in chip damage alone using the Sound arcana. Then there’s everything Karapalm does with Akane.
Reox: I am under the impression that throws are duckable, you just have to be neutral crouching, not crouch blocking.
This is an interesting game in that, while I am getting the hang of things in training mode, I have no idea what it’s gonna feel like when I play against a real person, haha.
Pretty much everyone is good. There are a couple characters that are easier to pick up but then they get harder to win with at higher levels. An example of this is akane - she does good damage, has great [like really great] normals, and her damage isn’t that hard to execute. People can learn to get around her stuff pretty easily though and so it becomes a lot harder to get that damage in. Also, she’s good with a lot of arcanas. Elsa is really good - she has a good dp, does great damage, and has really good oki off of her combos. Her oki is enhanced with Dark arcana but you can play her in other ones as well. Nazuna is pretty amazing - she has the best AAs in the game imo and her oki is really confusing. She’s really tough to approach as the opponent and she can do a lot of damage too. (note: nazuna’s b&bs are harder than the rest of the characters listed in the easy section, i’m pretty much just listing her here because she caught your eye first and she’s a good character) Saki is really easy to pick up, easy B&Bs and solid approaches. Heart is probably the most friendly character out of all of them though - her damage is insane and her normals are beastly. Heart’s normals are so good it doesn’t make sense sometimes. She already has a lot of clash frames on her normals and then you can use thunder too and it becomes even more ridiculous.
Maori seems a lot harder to me but I haven’t sat down and tried to really play her yet - she’s like playing a mvc2 team in one character. Almost like jill in mvc2? Liesolette is also really hard but I can teach you how to play her since she was the second character I picked up. Zenia is a mix between easy and hard, she has some hard stuff, but she has a 3f jab. Sometimes lackluster damage but she also has a repeatable unblockable setup that does a ton of damage. Catherine (robot, dr.robotnik girl) seems hard to me because she’s so awkward. People get really predictable with her though. Mei-Fang (robot chunli) is hardish because her combos are links rather than chains but they aren’t super hard so just gotta practice up. She’s good in several arcanas too.
Scharlotte (chain girl) is not hard to pick up but hard to be realllly good with - atleast that’s the impression I’ve gotten. She was the most popular character at final round.
People say Kira is the worst character in the game - she is limited by the number of arcanas she’s actually useful in and several characters can lame her out by zoning her and playing it safe. That being said, she is still REALLY good.
In conclusion: Hardest characters are Lies and Maori.

I know what you mean here but I first read it as the hardest character is a lie.
