Christian, I’m not sure what they’re doing Sunday. One of us will need to call them probably. Even if they do have one, I’m not sure if I want to waste my time, lol. We’ll see how the day works out, though.
PlayNtrade tournaments are the definition of “free”.
I love the new thread title & for those that are interested, I’m having a Melty gathering next week, but I play 3s & CvS2 as well, so hit me up if interested. It will be either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Also, I’ll see about going to the Tech gathering next week as well, transportations been a pain recently so no promises, but I’ll still see what I can do about those weekly gatherings for Melty there.
The point system is a fucking awesome idea! Also does anyone have Jason L phone # so I can call him to pay for the game that was lost at FR14? If you see this please pm me his # so I can get him his monEy! I’m at work right now in the city and I can swing by after work to handle this business.

in 08 i used to play 3s with 2 dudes i knew since middle school at the scrubbiest level, they were better than me. we went to this local LAN and Raph was there playing 3s and we played him and he perfected us over and over and he parried my friend’s whole akuma super… i got raph’s number because i wanted to level up, my friends bitched out and said he was too good after that first day. for the next while and the entire life of vanilla it was just me and raph playing casuals every day with an occasional other person would show up maybe once a month, and then we slowly had more and more people show up
we just kept trying, kept calling people even though we knew they would be no shows… but now we have a weekly gathering with 15+ people at our apartment now… 3 years of work and our scene is still nowhere near where i want it to be but we’ve made great great progress.
its possible you just have to be persistent and keep posting up gatherings and shit and help out anyone that wants to learn
