Just finished watching all of Mortal Kombat 9’s story mode… Those developers really put some time and effort in making this game. Overall, I was satisfied

Yeah, he got hit a little with escape tatsu, but contrary to popular belief, his c.mk hitbox is still the same distance, just 2 active frames less. Nerf/Buff. Nerf in the fact that it will be harder to just stick it out, buff in the fact that it is now 2 frames quicker baby! Don’t jump during footsies now on AE Ryu.
Oh, and trade ultra is back! BAAAAAAAAAM!!!

But seriously, he did not get nerfed in the way people are thinking. I personally will take a trade ultra and a quicker c.mk over an escape tatsu that was only used for a few matches and a slow very jump punishable normal.
Also, don’t forget about Evil Ryu having the possibility of being totally awesome.

so i started practicing on my own today with ssf4 now that my stick finally works on 360, spent like 8 hours on adon challenges and im at like 19 or something. shit is frustrating as hellllllllllllll. I’m stuck on ex cancel into ultra but thats just cuz I can’t do the motions quick enuff. since i’m just starting would i learn my execution/mechanics faster practicing combos in training or is there something else?
The fastest way to learn the game is to play the game.
Training, Challenge, Versus, Online who cares. Just keep playing to learn execution. Mechanics-wise same deal, but it’s greatly aided by forum research and community networking.
There is no quick route to learning a skill, just get involved and stay diligent.
yea theres no substitute for grinding. I guess it’s just whatever seems more entertaining
My advice is to just keep at it. Sure it is frustrating, but you have to keep at it and make sure to hit every direction of the required move.
Use the trials as a guideline for what you can/should use, and then take it into training and evolve it. Evolving it means to find more practical applications for that particular combo/oki setup.
AH3 localized in 3 days? HELL YES.
Tuesday will be super gross, I’m going all out. Going to Gamestop to buy MK9, MvC/Super4 (PS3) and maybe more PSN points for AH3. I have a $20 card and $5ish on my account, not sure what the price will be. If I have left over points I’m buying Shuma/Jill.
