Right now I use Hsien’s A-Swing(Armored)/Tasky’s A-Straight Shot/Storm’s A-Whirlwind. Armored Swing is TOO good.
I don’t like Storm’s Whirlwind assist in this game but she’s still good, just less effective overall. I can’t piano with Chun so she’s out, I’m not really feeling Dorm, and i’m trying hard not to use Dante even though he’s great. Plus I want a assist that can double as a projectile in case I need to rush down, so Doom might fit…at least until Jill comes out.

I dont want to play sentinel, but if he is required to win then im going to Mk9…but damn sentinel force cross-up assists…I think I know who are the three “Sentinel Killers” in the game are…lol
I wanted to play viper but im not sure, Spencer is underrated but he gets it in…she hulk is ass…I thought she would have a command run similar to fuerte
surprised no one is picking up that damned mutt…Dante has some of the easiest setups in the game, I refuse to play him…I work for mines…
I’m playing Wesker/Dorm/Doom and couldn’t be happier. Did anyone else watch the WNF stream last night? Gave me some great ideas! Pretty much everyone in this game looks fun!

So Joseph and I just played online against a high school friend who was using Wesker and both of us were having trouble punishing random launchers, we’d even get hit for trying. After the session we went to training mode and I had Joe use Wesker’s standing S then block while I tried to punish and nothing worked (Dante’s crA and hypers, Mag’s crA and lv3, Chun’s crA). Next we had him launch then do crA and with Chun on point I was able to beat his crA most of the time. Chun’s crA might be faster than his, but I want to see Wesker’s frame data now cause I believe his launcher is -1 at worst which is pretty crazy risk/reward.
Have anyone else tried punishing this move yet? What are you guys thoughts?
I mentioned the in-ability to punish the hyper/special attacks as well.
A lot of the quick strike characters can noob out by pressing light attack after any mess up or mistaken maneuvers.
Wesker can just teleport and run away for the most part, also East Point Crew found some glitches,I will try to record them for you guys,we are trying to re-create the incident to make sure these are legit glitches. I do believe Wesker has some sort of black screen glitch with his wesker/spider stingging hyper attack, I cannot put it into words at this time,I must continue to test my theory.
I just checked the Bradygames strat guide and it is -1 on block, so yeah, it’s safe, but it does have 10 frames of startup and 21 of recovery if it whiffs, so it would be kind of hard to get in a situation with Wesker to get point blank and then mash on S… doesn’t really seem like a good idea. But all in all that is just theory, but yes, it’s -1.
You can’t really see 10f start up and whiff-wise Wesker’s standing S steps him forward so it’s pretty hard to whiff when your in a sensible range to press the button.
Simply put I think Wesker can randomly press S when he’s up close and if it hits hey massive damage if it’s blocked who cares?
