this is the kind of crap im talking about though. i should give up posting here though, im sorry i even bothered to give my input on mvc3. nobody here cares anymore.
I honestly didn’t see what was wrong with the NerdJosh vs Marn Ft10. Maybe I’m missing something. Perhaps you should explain what you would have liked to have seen vs what was actually seen. I saw Nerd Josh try to keep out Marn and Marn try to get in. The only thing stupid was XFactor Sentinel, whom I would compare to CVS2 Sagat (because of the easy damage, stupid range, and hit confirms into L3 supers). I’m sure they’ll be some anti-sentinel strats being though of soon. He’ll still remain as powerful as he is, but I don’t think he’ll be a free win for most people. I honestly though the matches were intense, and I saw some crazy stuff from Marn. I though Magneto was horrible in this game, but as Marn has shown us Mag can still be pretty deadly. Maybe you’re speaking about some of the matches being too zoning centric (but ST was the same way, if not worse). I honestly am glad that overpowered strats are being developed early (and we don’t even know what is overpowered, except for X-Factor Sent). Seems like all of the characters have tools to not be walked on, and team synestry is still important (as oopposed to TVC where team chemistry was important but a little less signficant). I would imagine a good anti-sent strat would be to snap him in early and try to kill him ASAP since I doubt anyone will be starting him on point.
And we haven’t even seen any real matches with Trish and Dorm (two characters I plan to use), who look like they are really good and could give Sentinel some issues. Can’t wait to actually play this game and start grinding. All of these weekend streams got me way too hyped now.
So what’s up with this new SRK layout…It took me a literal minute to find the notifications.
MvC3 and Ga’s Growth Issues
The most important problem with Ga is the fact that they cannot get around being told “The Truth” Facts are labeled opinions just to continue the “Oh your wrong path” rather then investing time into learning,strategizing,comparing the information,tools etc talked about and finding a reasonable outcome!!
So many people here in this state “Think” they are the absolute bomb diggity.
So many people here think there opinions are greater then yours because they judge you by your head to head battles against so and so and feel safe to assume you are garbage because they can defeat so and so, which just boils down to lack of respect in the end.
With the exception of possibly BranH, alot fo the individuals who post here,attend tournaments,gathers etc-etc have shown growth,advanced further in tournaments and a few of those very same people think because they’ve gotten solid in SSF4, they know all other fighting games and attempt to compare all fighting games despite there overall differences, ala BranH who loves to compare everything to either ST or SF3rd Strike, yet MvC3 is a versus series game and should not be compared to those slower paced,one on one fighting games and no one should fix there mouths to say the same or there fingers to type the same as he has previously and throughout the history of his SRK existence.

People who have read this and posted negatively either “A” didn’t take the time to actually read the text and make an intelligent post, saw a few things that bashes the new game then ran to defend it, “B” never played MvC1/MvC2 on a high enough level too fully understand the lack of depth Max is trying to verbally illustrate to you all,the sad part about it is, everyone expected the “OG’s” to be the people running to defend the game and not the new schoolers but the new schoolers are in such a rush to defend the game for all the wrong reason and those very same reasons I posted about a page back

It says MvC3 in its title…yet it doesn’t play like either MvC1/MvC2 but a totally different versus game that didn’t even last 3 months in the United States!!
It has a button format similar to a game that the community begged to get patched multiple times,to the point they made a 2nd version,patched that and the numbers in that game are ass (BlazBlueCS)
Yea the “OG’s” understand the flaws in MvC2,we understand the game wasn’t designed for it to be as dominant as it was but… It still was successful, fun and innovative for 8 1/2 years.This new version is piggy backing off one of the most exciting fighting games ever, It would be different if they Called it MvC Evolution (Starting an entirely new versus genre) but it wasn’t, it was labeled the 3rd installment of a series and it plays nothing like the other 2 versions!!

Brandon and also there was a lot of things wrong with that. One the game does not allow to jump over things. Like all the projectiles he was throw very hard to jump over that. (Which uu can do in mvc2) Lets say u did a ground super, then i jump and then u dhc into another ground super i would not be able to jump over the second. Why I dont know. ricky did that to me like three times. Could not jump over. Its like the game just put im right in front of him. It like Able’s ultra2 Like u know u clearly jump over him but some how u land in front of him. But hey I just going to deal with it. Getting it tonight.

Maybe if you speak out,get ya voice heard maybe it wont be as bad in regards to how noob friendly these games are being made,look at the continued SSF4 modifications when it’s all said and done these companies want to make money BUT they wouldn’t hire guys like Seth Killian and Philthy Rich if they didn’t want to take points from the community that fuels these games.

People forget there was no strategy guide for MvC2, we as players had to sit in the lab and find out how to do shit with our characters,the players taught the players how to play MvC2,Check gamefaqs and you will see my old strategies posted there,these infi’s you see,japenese setups you see, wasn’t know G4 T.V. station teaching us this shit,wasn’t know mission mode or tons of youtube video, or record a character/opponent/cpu mode, damn sure wasn’t know one button that does a roundhouse and a fierce punch depending on the direction you choose, ya’ll mother fuckers got it easy as hell and i’ll be damned if you gone shut me up!!!

I think that fighting games are become more and more player friendly. Do you know how long it took me know learn that Mag Inf. Like two yrs. I think. I’m not gonna readily trust the opinions of a few people who have only spent a couple hours on this game(even myself) and say they have it down. Just like with SSF4 lots of those opinions ended up being wrong as fuck.
I’m gonna keep an open mind like i did with TvC before i assess that the game is ass

Seriously though, I really don’t think they would put sentinel in and make him that strong without a counter. Give it enough time and someone will find some mechanic that will cause sentinel to drop from being so godlike. I mean seriously, isn’t it kind of early to dismiss the game? I spent a few months trying to learn MVC2, you have to put in a fucking lot of work, I understand that. I just got sick of watching the same 4 characters in all the tournament matchs I watched. A lot of people are going to play MVC3, and a lot of people are going to stick with MVC2.
I really hope the game isn’t that shallow. A week or two, and every possible combination and game mechanic has been thoroughly explored? I doubt that, it’s possible, but I want to get my hands on the game for a little while before I completely dismiss it.

Speculation with S.Fighter has always been lack of viable match ups,the same characters in the top#8,which is still evident today.
Those very same people who shitted on MvC2 for it’s imbalance,it’s so called “Only 10-15 Character viablility” need to take a good look at there own game in S.Fighter!!
