I wish I could make it to B&B. Thursdays tend to be a bad day for me though.
I can tell you PS3 pad is way better I play MVC2 on pad on PS3 and can manage 70% of my execution as opposed to 30% on 360. 360 Pad is horrid for fighting games. I owne both so screw you lol
only so much?
we sheep are to blame
I really think Dormamu is going to be a solid assist. Somewhat like Captain commando. I’m not too impressed with him on point though. He seems to be rush bait (like Commando was). IMO people complain about Sentinel, but he seems slower, and he has lost a lot of his armor. I beleive he is still going to be strong, but he’s going to probably play much more like he did in COTA (a strong damaging full screen game). I think Sent may have less going for him in the rushdown department, since I’m sure there will be no more unfly mode. Still Sent long range and punishment game seems deadly.
Thor also seems like more of a punisher. We can look at his 100% combos all day, but realistically it looks like he'll be a really solid battery, and will be a better third character to save XFC for.
for me personally, I'm going to invest the most time in Trish and Dante. Both seem like awesome point characters. And I honestly don't think Dante will be too overpowered, but he will be a great all around character (like Ryu was in vanilla). Can't wait to put all of these theories in practice though.
yes, i consider it brain-dead to buy a faulty or broken product with overall inferior qualities when there is a superior one on the market, unless it is out of economic hardship or something similar, or you like Halo(which i don’t understand the love of mediocre shooters, but whatever. i will chalk it up to just not being my proverbial cup of tea). if what i said hits home with you, or you take offense to it, you must feel it relates to you in some way. i don’t give a shit if it does or not, nor do i really care if you are hurt or offended by it. i simply call things as i see them. i don’t know about anyone else in this thread, but i rather have a system that i don’t have to crack open and spread ArcticSilver on its processors because the manufacturers were too lazy/cheap to do so. and, since i don’t like Halo, i have no real reason to buy a 360.
@Iceman - yes, i know you were just joking.
The PS3 is a better machine yada yada whatever. That’s shit is irrelevant. It still doesn’t change the fact that SSFIV on PS3 is slow.
I agree with Marty on this one.
Edit:@ Daknut Marvel on 360 is slower ur point?
Nigga MvC2 on any system but Dreamcast is ass…now what
Marvel is also irrelevant
well of course it hits home when someone refers to me as a cerebrally inept drone because of which gaming console i prefer.
i dont care one bit if my console plays bluray & the the only exclusive on ps3 thats even remotely interesting to me is LBP.
im sure its probably gotten better since it first came to market, but psn was **shit **compared to live.
not to mention mostly all my friends play on 360.
but theyre just brainless assholes ignorant of (inconsequential)tech specs.
or @ least thats what ive read on the internet…
was giving adjusting to speeds as an example not the game persay itself. People work around it. Iceman GDI you…have a fuckin point. XD
lol eddie
this is the same debate that came up in vanilla SF4 as well. so, a test was done using a stick that allowed both versions to be played in synch. the result, of course, was that both games ran identically. here…

every test besides one done like this is flawed due to the games running out of synch. i believe capcom as well has said that both versions run at an equal speed, but i am not certain about that statement. another test was done that showed that after 5 consecutive minutes of match play(as in a single match lasting 5 minutes), the PS3 showed to run 1 frame behind, but immediately synched back once a new match was started, so that honestly would not affect any tournament play at all. humans are not able to differentiate the feeling of having 1/60th of a second pass, honestly, so i personally think people need to get over themselves and just admit when they make execution mistakes instead of blaming it on a system. these people know who they are.
there is no refuting this statement, as it is 100% true.
i will give you online play. in fact, i hadn’t really thought about it, as online play is inconsequential to me. i rather go play people, but i suppose if you are forced to only be able to play people online, then yes, Live is better than PSN for that, though honestly, it is not as large of a difference as most exaggerate it to be, IMO. still, it is better for online play, if your 360 is working properly. but, saying that the 360 would have done well without Halo being its one pillar of support is ridiculous at best. it is the virtually only reason the original X-Box did well, and virtually the only reason the 360 sold the way that it did. i mean, the 360 has sold 50 million units total, with 20 million of that being US sales. americans LOVE shooting things, and LOVE Halo. hell, my roommates own multiple copies of Halo 3 and Reach, and there’s multiple X-Boxes in the house due to Halo.
and so far as your friends being brainless…
i can use coffee mugs to increase my power level, also.
is that what coffee smiley does? i used it (as i usually do)because i was gasp drinking coffee & unamusedly reading your snide remarks.
gj cultivating disdain in an otherwise friendly individual… for no good fucking reason
but you dont need to say it; i know… you dont give a shit :blah:
SSFIV on PS3 and 360 is not identical… but then again I’m brain-dead
I actually hadn’t thought of them fixing SSF4 speed differences between ps3 and 360. After playing vanilla for so long in the arcade and then doing 360 and then when I came back to the US and started doing ps3, I definitely felt a difference. I thought that difference would still be there in SSF4 but it would make a whole hell of a lot of sense for them to fix it. Good shit capcom? If there is a slight difference with a few timings, it isn’t nearly as bad as cps2 3S vs ps2 3S which still throws me for a loop.
I think it’s kinda funny people getting all out of whack over this… again… Oh well, keep on Georgia thread.
Also sorry I couldn’t make it to B&B today. I was bummed since combining SF and drinking is one of my favorites. Soooooooo tired
My thought process before picking 360 over PS3:
-
Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy 13 are going to be on Xbox 360? Metal Gear Solid 2 was ported to Xbox so theres a high chance MGS4 will be on 360 as well. Exclusivity is dead. (As of today I never got MGS4, but no big loss)
-
At that time I never owned a Sony product that lasted. All of these broke on me through hardware failure during normal use: 1 Walkman, 1 PS1, 1 Television, and 2 PS2s. Why should I trust Sony on the PS3? (As of today my 3rd PS2 and my PSP are still alive)
-
Halo 2 online was really fun. PS3’s touting Killzone 2 when the first game was garbage. If I ever desire to play an fps 360 seems like the better shot (Today: Halo 2 was the last good game in the series IMO)
-
My best friends are going 360
-
360 is cheaper (I was using money given to me from my high school graduation I didn’t yet have a job)
And the point of all this is: To show that I carefully considered my choice and even though I may have been wrong on a few things I’m not the mindless fool you consider me (The 360 adopter) to be.
And the GA thread is back on track once again,
GS to everyone supporting Wizzlecroff’s tournament at B&B today

man i wish we had the game early
Akuma, Tron Bonne & Storm in Marvel 3… Too good (at least to me lol)
