Just got home from work and Im looking for SF4 competition so log onto your local x-Box 360 and lets get it crackin’.
In reguards to the VF v.s. Tekken discussion.
Tekken is ALOT easier to learn than VF.
Vf is quite possibly the most strategic fighting game I have EVER touched and when i say EVER I really mean ever.
In no way shape form or fashion is VF an easy game.
Who is man enough to hit me up in VF should I make it to ICIV? I must warn you, my Jeffry and Pai are pretty beastly. In VF4 at least - I don’t personally own VF5, so I can’t practice on it as much as I would like.
Did it ever occur to you that I do so out of general disinterest toward any game that is not Virtua Fighter, given that I have stated on multiple occasions that that is the game that matters the most to me?
Honestly, there probably is enough interest for that game in a town like this. Then again, there’s probably an interest for most games in this town.
People are sadly mistaken, there is a alot of interest in VF.
The problem is people give up to easy, people won’t put forth a higher effort because it is a harder game to learn than tekken.
Also all this "I would play if people here played… ummmm Shidosha and myself are the only two people I know that have ever represented VF at any tournaments including EVO.
Why does the entire state have to play a game just for you all to stay interested??
My right hand man Aceuno has been playing Garou Mark of the Wolves (even got me playing it off and on the past 3 years) ummm he won this years Final Round in Garou… he did this with NO LEGIT COMPETITION IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF GEORGIA TO HELP HIM!!!
I show interest toward a lot of things. However, I’ve stated on multiple occasions that my interest and dedication lie in Virtua Fighter and that I can’t ever be trusted to go too far with anything else. I don’t know how many times people are just going to read that statement and forget it before they get it through their heads.
In my defense, I planned on entering the tournament for Virtua Fighter 5 at Final Round, but I got hella sick. Granted, it was my fault(ate some bad food), but I didn’t see that shit coming.
It’s not that, honestly. It’s just that Virtua Fighter is the only fighting game that’s managed to keep my interest. Granted, I do need to sack the fuck up and get much more disciplined if I’m going to be taken seriously, but for some reason, I can spend hours in Virtua Fighter’s training mode(and often do), but two or three games of Street Fighter and I’m just bored out of my skull.
The problem isn’t the games themselves, though. It’s my unusual thought pattern and overall indecisive nature. I don’t know why I’ve maintained loyalty to Virtua Fighter over the years, but other than that, I go through fighting games like Paris Hilton goes through boyfriends.
That’s understandable, I think we all have times like that. I’m just saying go out and play with people if you get the chance, as there is really no substitute. Hell, I play smash casually with friends whenever they want, just for something to do, and I know absolutely nothing about that game.
Oh, I know there’s no substitute for playing with people. Honestly, aside from my flightyness, there’s only one reason why I don’t go out to East Point or none of that.
I have no transportation whatsoever.
I live at the bottom of a steep hill, which leads to Windy Hill Road, which leads to Powers Ferry, which leads to the interstate, which leads to civilization. While I’m not saying that’s impossible or anything, it ain’t easy to get used to, because I came from New Orleans and I knew where fucking everything was and how to get around without the use of a car and in a timely fashion. If I could bum a ride from someone, I could foot the bill for gas, but other than that, I have literally no way to get around town.
I have won 4 Madden Regionals since '96, Iguess because it’s not a fighting game I never get props from the SRK fame.
My point for bringing this up is because I play that game, I play it in the tub when Im resting my muscles after work, I enter multiple online tournaments, i play people with one bar connections, hell I just play the game, everytime there is a new release that game is first on my list, that and Marvel anyways.
I have dropped marvel multiple times because this game is played at numerous tournaments but it is also the one exception… YOU MUST have some sort of competition in this game in order to grow within’ it or else you will never get any better (my opinion).
I am nolonger solid in marvel and I hate it at times BUT since I’ve recieved my dreamcast back along with the stick once it’s fixed I will be trainign again hopefully I will be training Jason L as well because he has a lil’ thing for juggernaut in this game.
I am willing to travel to Waba and East Point(and anywhere else in Atlanta) if I will find Virtua Fighter there. I’m not made of money, but I can scrape some shit together.
While Virtua Fighter 5 is my favorite, I’ll play Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution as well. I just need to learn Vanessa all over again. Damn. :wasted:
