No, I think they are better, but they don’t have a clear leader and the discipline. They really should be able to beat the heat, but like you said, their immaturity gets in the way, and they are terrible on the road. I think it’s bad coaching. They are more talented. but when they get out of rhythm, they can’t find a way back, they just blow the game. They do need to kill the shit talking though. That dunk attempt in game 5 by smith was just dumb.

Of course alot of ppl that reside in the ATL are orginally from elsewhere so they’re going to be loyal to the teams they grew up on. You hear about alot of athletes talk about how great the town is but they wouldn’t wanna be a part of an Atlanta sport team unless they’re just all about the big contracts. In the history of professional sports Atlanta only has one championship and that’s the 1995 Braves and as successful as they been(winning 14 straight divisional championships) ppl criticize them for winning ONE World Series, especially folding to the Yankees in 1996 and also calling them the Buffalo Bills of Baseball(albeit the Braves did win a World Series). Regardless if you’re a native diehard fan that roots for Atlanta teams ppl from other regions and the majority of the media is going to hate on Atlanta teams simply because they’re NOT from here plus the teams have a history of losing, thanks to poor mismanagement and organization.

atl’s scene is weak soley because nobody practices and/or travels in the games they claim to practice/like.
thats why you see 99.9% (might be a little lower % but not much lower :clown:) of ga people tuck tail and run when out of state competition for their respective game comes to ga…and that leads to out of state’rs not respecting ga’s gaming scene as a whole…and you know ga has fairweather johnson fags…so people just hop on bandwagon…even if they are part of the cause.
moral of complaint: fuck ga, and just play the game you like because you like it…and you might get good. you dont need to play people in georgia to get good at a game…unless its tekken or sc4.

wow, you said a mouthful. Anyway, I know I talk a lot of shit. But believe me when I say, I want everyone in GA to be good at the end of the day. And I mean I want them to be heavy hitters like you see in NYC and Cali. unfortunately I do have a life outside of gaming so I can’t really put the time into gaming that I would love to do, but I’m certainly not afraid of other states for sure.
I appreciate Iceman’s attempts to get GA to travel to tournies out of state. That would level up the scene greatly. but of course I’m too involved in the grown up world to travel out of states for tournaments and such. I wish our younger talent with more time on their hands would do that. I do think Omnislash and MPR will definitely lead the scene as they genuinely want to get better, instead of trying to hustle up little bullshit money matches. The problem with GA is that you can’t play someone without money matching them. And the only reason I money match people so I can play them. would be nice if people were willing to play you for free. I mean that person may be better than me, but they’re not godlike to the point where they should just be issuing money matches just so people will play them. I do like Metal Mike the people who hang with him, because all they simply want to do is play against other people and get better. However this isn’t true to some other people in the scene.
the money match thing is new to me. i thought it was a casual thing. i didn’t know that’s the majority of gameplay.
makes gaming sound like street racing. i hope ppl don’t play for systems.
