I’ve been really looking forward to this tourney for a while now, but Im completely honest when I say that Im disapointed that 3rd strike and GGAC are being excluded. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Fate/Unlimited Codes are obvious choices, and it seems that AHF is getting good feedback, and with the release of STHD, I can understand why people would overlook 3rd strike, but GGAC? Im surprised no one has said anything about it already, as I would’ve thought many people, especially from Toronto, would be be as interested in a GG tourny as I am.

So what I wanna know is if there is any interest in a 3S and/or GG side tourny, and if I could host one or both if there is? I assume they’ll be enough people to get at least one running, and since I always bring my own console, sticks, and TV, I wont bog down any of the other tournaments.

I’m not going to presume to speak for G3EVO but from what I’ve seen over the last year or so is that they enjoy trying new games on a regular basis. 3S and GGAC weren’t excluded so much as they weren’t used this go around because there were other viable options that haven’t been beaten to death.

Of course if I’m wrong I’m sure Herb or Rae can correct me at their convenience.

Which is the real start time? It says 2 PM on this thread and 3 PM on the G3 forum thread.

I also would like to know the rough scheduling for the tourneys since I have plans to leave early (around 5 or so) for a small Christmas party at the UPS warehouse where I work.

theres 2 reasons for this

  1. barely any toronto GG players even check SRK because the exodus happened :confused:
  2. its a understanding between sauga and toronto that toronto doesn’t travel to sauga for GG except for the odd few:looney:

You got that right. We play those games all the time, why not try something new?

There are always times for casuals and even if we did hold GG the head count wouldn’t really change.

I sorta got the feeling that we were going to play whatever people wanted to there, but have a main focus of said games in the event.

I wouldn’t mind doing some 3s casuals.
