This time our tournament is to hail the coming of Capcom’s lesser known game being released this winter Fate/Unlimited Codes. Whether you’re a TYPE-MOON fan or fan of PHAT combos, come out and give the game a shot for fucking FREE. How do you turn down a deal like this? YOU DON’T. (AND LOLIS) Get it? As per standard, we will also be having our casual open console free-for-all. Works on a first-come, first-serve basis and generally whatever the majority feels like playing. We by default have 4 TVs running at any one time, but you can bring one yourself to bring us to 5 stations.

Tournaments for Fate/Unlimited Codes and Arcana Heart FULL! will take place on console (PS2). Tatsunoko vs Capcom (if possible) will be played on the Wii. (As an alternate, SSFTIIHD Remix can also be played at the same time and can replace Tatsunoko vs Capcom if we are unable to acquire a Wii and proper sticks) As well, if you plan on coming, please SHOW UP ON TIME! Seriously, it will help us get things in order quickly, or if you’re going to come late, please let us know. It definitely helps in the long run. Thanks!

As such, we will need help to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom. If you are generous soul, please donate your system and game for this hype tournament. We definitely need the setups for this one. Anything helps, classic controllers, PS2-GC converters or even Wii-arcade sticks. Much appreciated! Also, bring those PS2s and TV if it allows, the MORE the BETTER! Get your hands on Fate/Unlimited Codes by helping us out with Tatsunoko vs Capcom!

General Tournament Rules:

  • Please bring your own controller/stick
    i) Pads and sticks will be provided, but please do not complain about them.
  • Tournament Structure (Bracket will be created by Tournament Maker)
    i) 2/3 Matches
    ii) 3/5 Semis and 4/7 Finals
    iii) Double Elimination
  • Button mapping is allowed/Macros is allowed
  • No turbo controllers
  • Standard Tournament Rules apply

I’ll bring a spare (Gerjay’s) TV along with a PS2 and a few sticks.

Alright, sorry I’m late with the hype, but for starters, I’d like to add a $50 pot bonus for Arcana Heart, to be split between 1st and 2nd like the rest of the pot, conditional on me showing up (so barring any catastrophes) and on there being at least 8 entrants (otherwise I’d lose money even if I came 1st :razz:).

MDK later said that Altergenesis could’ve won if he had coached him, so I propose an alternative MM as well: Altergenesis and MDK put up $5 each vs my $10, and MDK can coach him throughout the games. :wink:

Speaking of Altergenesis, this guy is the FIEND of secret practice! He will say he doesn’t play the game anymore, that he only plays SC4 now, etc. etc., then you finally face him again and he’s twice as good as he was the last time you’d played. :looney:

In fact, I’d put money on Altergenesis over anybody in Arcana besides me and strakka, as long as he puts money on himself, too. “Casual player” my ass: he’s a beast. :wink:

Psh, had I actually won then you’re ideas about my “secret practice” might be true. (Which it isn’t, because I always talk about it when I practice a game to get some advice about what I’m practicing) I’m sure everyone can back me on when I’ve played Arcana or any fighting game for that matter (outside of SCIV and MAYBE VF5). Rae and Jamal will tell you that I am an NBA 2K9 FIEND as that is all I’ve ever been playing. I only talk smack to bring the hype. So, in that case, I still like myself over you and your buddy, too. :rofl:
