G.A.M.M.E. - Orlando, Florida - USA VS. JAPAN! $5000+ SF4, June 4-6 2010

I’m there 100% T6!!!

I’m assuming this will use Super Street Fighter IV and not SF4? Which oneee

I’m going to have Javi edit the post for this to make sure people understand we will always keep current but when it comes to SFIV if it does not release on time it will be SFIV, the moment we have this early and in our hands we will change the notice to SSFIV.

Marn, what happened man, Sanford and Justin just told me your not going to be here this weekend!

No Candy for the losing players…damn it!

Player attendance post will go up as soon as I get back from Seasons Beatings, write in the thread or pm me if your attending…

(love for the firsts)

MvC2 (Which system is this on btw? Thx)

I spoke with Manny Commacho at Game UniCon earlier this summer and he told me about this convention. It’s going to be ridiculous. I’m in there!!!

Oh God! Game Unicon, but yes we promoted there and We just finished promoting at Season’s Beatings - it was hype and Yipes was all over the Morton’s and the salty folk.

Vercette - to quote Yipes “DreamCast Baby! There is no Otha”

I am considering raising the pot for that since some folks will be coming out of retirement for this tournament. I want to make sure this community is taken care of.

We added some announcements to the Main post on this thread, we hope it makes the community happy and we added $1000 to Marvel V Capcom’s Bonus Pot. Gotta keep it alive.

Word!:smokin::smokin:

wow… just wow…

2 of 3(20$) or ft5(50$) in marvel

i’m washed up/beat down/too old for this game

bet it

Mix, 4/7 for 20.

for 5000 dollars, road trip!

any word on what system tourneys will be held on? or can we all assume its ps3?

I have what seems to be a toss up on PS3 or 360 when it comes to most fighters like SFIV. Marvel is easy - thats DreamCast

but for the most part we were going to be using PS3 on SFIV - we have the inventory of equipment already for PS3. I was considering separating Blazblue and KoFXII onto 360 - Virtua Fighter 5 has to be on 360 for the version type. Tekken 6 would be on PS3.

I have my mind pretty set on this, but of course we listen to the community and we make minor adjustments to make sure that the majority is happy, cant make everyone happy. I heard this weekend from one group they love SFIV on 360 I heard from some folks in the west coast they prefer PS3.

It’s a tough one.

chime in if you guys have opinions, we read and listen to everything I for a long time have read these forums and try to pinpoint the best decision according the community at large.

I will have Javi edit the post to address the consoles for now. but of course things can change to adapt for the better.

EDIT: Question to the community, this one slipped but I will ask Justin and Daigo for their opinions on this. 3s, you guys prefer this on PS2 through the Annicersary Collection or on DreamCast. We carry both, and the DC versions we use are the Japanese versions. I’ve been curious as to which most prefer I have seen all 3, American DC, Japanese DC and PS2 (Street Fighter Anniversary Collection) at many shows and have not really seen what is considered by the best as the one with the most accurate Frame data.

We can run that.

well from what i gather majority of the better blazblue players (like the ones on this forum and on dustloop) play on ps3, no disrespect to 360 players though, as im sure 360 has good players as well. I would figure more people have sf4 on a 360 though

Sounds pretty hype!

Just so you know, the majority of HD Remix players use Xbox 360 rather than PS3, and for that game in particular the consensus is that the Xbox version is of generally higher quality / less buggy.

I’ll probably come regardless, but would prefer if HD Remix used the 360 version. Cheers!

Def coming for HDR, BlazBlue, and Brawl. HYPE GOTTEN.

I was talking with folks from the other online communities and have been working on our setup, attaining new equipment, and promoting and all sorts of heavy lifting for the show. I will be soon uploading the layout for our gaming event on the new site (which I just approved to go live with what it has on it) and some folks have told me to talk a bit about how our setup will work for the crazy amount of tourneys we are setting up.

GAMME will be separating its tourney department into “Arena’s”

Each Arena will consist of a total of 17 consoles setup in 3 areas. and Each Arena will take up a large space of its own. the three areas work like this:

High Profile Match Stage
Expo Cage 1
Expo Cage 2

each Expo Cage will hold 8 Setups. 4 on each side these are expo/trade show setups that allow us to mount equipment on to it for very clean and professional display.

They are 16’ across and 6’ wide. Every 4 ft is a screen for 2 players to use in tournaments and eventually for casuals.

The High Profile Stage is for those matches that should be observed by the audience and will be streamed online by one of the groups working with us.

The stage will be setup with an HD/CRT 30" TV and will have 4 Projection screens for the audience to watch. 1 screen for each player (2 camera’s mounted on the CRT aimed at each player will feed these projectors). 1 screen for the audience to see the game play. and 1 screen to display the Ladder for the current tournament. The Gameplay screen will also be setup to display the commentators in between matches for the audience to get a better view of them as well.

Each of these screens will be 6’ by 8’ for large display.

We will have 4 of these “Arena’s” setup for fighters - they are named: Capcom, Iron Fist, Heaven or Hell & the Smash Arena.

took me awhile to name them. but essentially the games played in each:

Capcom - its obvious, but not necessarily
Street Fighter IV
Super Street Fighter IV
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
HD Remix

Iron Fist
Tekken 6
King of Fighters XII
Soul Calibur IV
Dead or Alive 4
Virtua Fighter 5

Heaven or Hell
Blazblue
Guilty Gear: XX/ Accent Core Plus!

**Smash **
Brawl
Melee
Tatsunoko vs Capcom (on the Wii, have to place it in this area.)

There are other Arena’s planned - smaller in size for extra fighter titles like Naruto series games and Mk vs DC as well as other less observed titles like Arcana Hearts, Melty Blood, Japanese Fighters like BattleStadium D.O.N., Dreambout Hudson v Takara, Hokuto no ken, Mortal Kombat, and much older items like Smash Bros. N64, Killer Instinct, Primal Rage, etc etc.

as well as our Shooter based Arena’s.

but at least this can help create a picture in your mind of what to expect.

I will be promoting at Orlando BarFights next week and helping out with some equipment and anything else they might need for their tournament, I will be in the GAMME event hotel on Sunday - I would be more than happy to show anyone from the community the event space and give them a mini tour of how this event will be setup. besides I like meeting folks from the community, its kind of a drug for me.
