I noticed last night, elbow drop is still unchanged, a well placed cr.lk will catch the trip guard, a cr.mk will go underneath it. I think you can still go under his crossup mk aswell didnt try, but i know he had a hitbox improvment on j.hk so might not be able to go under that either.
FA against slide is “Thank God” tier, though
Ken and Adon I’m having trouble with still, but I heard Adon beats Juri.
I treat Adon like air fei long. I space him until i get in. Then I gauge the player. If he can be mixed up I do so. If he’s spazzy I sit back
if you keep adon out, he can’t do anything. juri excels here. he’s not great at dealing with pressure himself either. lots of things beat his dp, so once you’re in, stay there. treat it similar to the makoto matchup really… just don’t let him control the game and you’ll be fine.
Very important to not play his game.

Really have to maximize your damage. Remember. Mp hurts more than mk. Choose wisely. Sometimes mp whiffs where mk will not. But other times mk will hit for like 40 damage where mp hits for what…80? And you get a store/mix up off it.
I mean… If you can squeeze a c.hp do it. Gotta know your spacing
Now to some Honda tech.
Corner f.throw > sekku > empty jump over c.mp os tech
What happens here is the sekku takes headbutts away. The cross over is to get out of the Corner and times the c.mp better. If Honda does any buttslam but lk, they whiff. Lk buttslam gets stuffed.
His only option is block or ex orochi

Fs mk can do 100 damage if,u get two hits. Five frames and u do the same damage as a fp and hk normal. Mp is great to but isnt as important as mk. Try playing a whole match without mk. God i cant live without that button. It just does everything for juri.

It’s safe and on hit can be comboed out of. Ultra, super, fse resets, fuhajin release, pinwheels. Extra damage off of s.mk. This is on the ground.
Now tell me. What’s the benefit of far mk over c.mp (if both will hit) as an anti air? Mp is superior in every way if both are going to hit. Store opportunities, mix up with a dash under or ambiguous jump in, spacing is better, and does more damage.

It has a place. And that place is not everywhere. In fse that move becomes much better
mk the button and fs. mk still does everything. It’s like juri, it does everything and not always safely. That move defines her. Cr.mp is by far a better anti air than fs mk. It does also give you options after the hit which fs.mk does not. Yes you can combo off of it. We already talked about if you could special cancel after fs.mk it’d make her very broken and we have a bunch of bandwagoners. It’s unsafe but who really punishes it? Have you? No. Has any of my chun friends, they probably would if i told them but i won’t. That move is soo good man like i don’t think any character has a better fs. mk like juri. You say its unsafe but you can space it so it’s safe and that is because it has the second best reach of all of juri’s normals. The only thing that beats it is a better footsie move, which will only trade and make it even for both characters, focusing on the tip of the attack, or fucking guy’s run stop move…hate that shit. Plus it punish whiffs and fucking scrubs that mash jab. Can cr.mp do that? No it cannot because it will trade and that always sucks. Fs.mk is also a great move to check someone if they’re pressing buttons. lk lk lk fs.mk you pressed a button well you got counter hit for it. And you don’t get punished for it because usually the person is too damn far away to do anything and you have the reach to hit them. Dude i could go on and on why this move is too gdlk. Yes she has better normals that extend combos and give her mix-up. I don’t hate cr.mp and think it’s inferior to fs.mk. Fs.mk can be used to do things for you that certain other normals can’t, that’s all really. All her normals have good purposes for her and cr.mp def is one that i use, i just tend to favor fs.mk more. That’s just me though. I know a lot of juris like cr.mk more or cr.mp. Some even like fs.lk. To each their own, but i’m with fs.mk till the end guys.
I gave specific criteria for it to meet c.mps usefulness and you completely ignored it. Let me restate it to be more clear.
Ryu jumps in. You have an anti air opportunity. Both buttons will work you are too far for c.hp Why would you not use c.mp? It gives you more damage, better spacing after reset for pressure or dash under mix up or jump in, store opportunity for pressure, mix up after the reset.
Mk doesn’t give you those things. Now tell me why you would decide mk over mp? I’m open to debating this I want to see everyone improve. I think your giving mk too much credit and think your missing out on a lot. I am also open to being wrong on this so… Prove me wrong
MP is Juri’s best button. I almost want to say MP is Street Fighter IV’s best button.
For kara, yeah you need that and for anti air. Now if we’re gonna compare buttons mk is be far better because of how versatile it is, not just fs.mk. Cs.mk can be used to stop throws cause of the first active frame being airborne so you stuff a throw attempt and get a free combo. Cs.mp is 3 frames and is great in frame traps. mp doesn’t overhead, mk overheads which you use in fse to open people up. mk has far better reach than bitch slap (fs.mp) and cr.mk can trip guard and give you a free combo as mp only gives you a mix-up that can be 50/50. Also cr.mk makes your hitbox low to the ground so if you cr.mk ryu doing hadoken you evade it. mp doesn’t give you that option. Mp juggles in the air and leads to mix up. Nj.mk is great for a quick air to air anti air and it has reach. Mp does more damage. Mk is more versatile.
@Kail i decided to talk about fs.mk because you were comparing it to mp and combo extending. You mentioned fse as well and i didn’t add that. I sorta wrote my post on a whim last night. But after a cr.mp into fuhajin what option do you usually go to extend a combo? I tend to go for cr.mk to a hk pinwheel. And i tend to use mk more than mp. I mean i should make use of cs.mp more. I just trust mk more because of how i built my juri around that button. It can do everything for her. I’ve even won matches testing to see if i could win with only that button. Funny thing is you can. Oh you’re trying to jump in. trip guard or fs. mk. Oh going in for a throw cs.mk into pinwheel. I don’t see a lot of juris use this move and i’m probably a minority in thought. You barely used the move kail, but then again you built your juri around specifics as other juris have as well. It’s a good button and that’s my take on it. I’m just glad we could discuss about this to give the other juris some food for thought. I like both buttons and what dr. grammar said about mp is true. Most characters have great mp. Shit man e.ryu can do cr.mp>cr.mp>lk.tatsu>hp.srk for like freaking 290 damage. Anyway that’s my response. Again it’s nothing personal. I want to say i’m not trying to say kail’s opinion is wrong. Both buttons are viable. Your juri is yours to build people. Your opinion does matter. I hope kail can prove me wrong and show me that mp. is a great button.
