I just got my SimpleCase in the mail and it is way better than pictured. It’s lighter than the original MAS stick, and doesn’t have a flimsy bottom panel. And I friggin love how you wrapped the molding on the sides; MAS doesn’t do that.
John, I don’t know how you pulled it off man. This thing despite it’s size is sooo rock solid. The case even makes the buttons themselves feel much more solid. I wasn’t a fan of Sanwas in the TE that I had but they feel so solid in this case. I understand what clockw0rk was talking about when he said that the buttons feel so much better and put up less of a fight.
Went from having about 4 characters trials complete in SFxT to this:
I can’t say that it was all the controller but I can say for sure that it definitely helped tremendously.:tup::tup:
Sup guys. Just put together the parts to make this SimpleCase a functional arcade stick. Right now, I’m currently waiting on the Neutrik connector. I really love the way it all came together. Once I get it 100% complete, I’ll have new pics up in the Tech Talk Check out my new arcade stick thread.
Me too! The suspense is killing me. I think I’ve got this grand image of the one stick, my stick, forged by the stick maker of the gods, sent to arrive on a golden chariot pulling the sun only as a means to show it’s excellence and beauty.
Hi. I just wanted to say that I recently made my first purchase from NiteWalker and that I’m very pleased with the results. I ordered wooden case from another reputable maker in the FGC, and while I won’t name names, I will say that NiteWalker’s case was greatly superior in quality and clearly demonstrated a high degree of care and craftsmanship. While the manufacturing process took a little more time than initially estimated, NiteWalker was prompt and open about keeping me informed as to the status of the case. He even sent pictures of the case at certain points to show the progress. I feel completely confident in ordering from NiteWalker, and I plan to do so again very soon. Thanks NiteWalker!
May I ask how long ago you ordered your case? The reason I ask is I feel that my order was caught in a wave of orders in which Nite was very busy and I didn’t get that same sort of progress updates with the photos. I feel that I initiated most of the contact that would in turn prompt a reply about the status of my case.
And by all means this is not a bashing on Nite. One of the reason I came to him was by recommendation and by reputation. I’m 100% sure that I’ll be happy with the finished product, I guess I’m just a bit jealous that you got to see the production of your stick while I’m bathing in anticipation of the unknown of my own.
Let me comment on the shipping time, I placed my order in beginning of Feb and did not receive the case until last week. (waited 2 months)
I am very happy with the case and would recommend Nitewalker to other people, however it was very hard to patiently wait for my case to arrive.
I have purchased a case from Team Foehammer before, but I personally like the case from Nitewalker a lot more (more details will come with my review)
I think Nitewalker became so popular this past couple months and he became very busy with a lot of orders
I am planning to write more detailed review of the case and his service near future,
All I can say is just wait…you will be happy with your new case from Nitewalker.
Also if you are trying to contact Nitewalker by PM, he has told me that sometimes he does not get PMs, so if you don’t get response from him maybe try to send him follow up PM or something.
Yeah everyone is talking very highly of his cases, can’t wait to receive mine :). Should be soon since he did mentioned to me that he was finishing up a batch on the 1st of this month which already passed.
I think the build took about 7 weeks overall. I ordered back in January. So I’ve had it a few weeks. I obviously can’t guarantee you’ll be happy with what you get given the time you’ve been waiting (everyone has his or her own opinion about things). But when I looked at the fact that these are handcrafted, custom items, with customer-selected woods, finishes, layouts and other bells and whistles (as opposed to being cranked out in large batches of standardized parts), then some delay – from my perspective – is reasonable. Take that however you want. But I was okay with a delay, given that he was very forthcoming about things. As I said, I will order again, but maybe with a more tempered set of expectations regarding the timing.
I’m guessing that NiteWalker is a one-man operation, so hopefully he’s making a decent profit on these things and will be able to afford to hire some help one of these days and continue to grow the business. I think that with the advent of the (upcoming) PS360+, case makers like NiteWalker and the increasing number of reliable parts suppliers in the FGC, that accessory manufacturers like Hori and MadCatz may need to step up their games and innovate if they want to win back some of the business from folks who take their controllers seriously and are willing to invest time and money in them.
At any rate, I just wanted people to have another perspective about NiteWalker’s services. All I can really say is that, while I don’t know him personally, I think he’s a good seller. Things turned out well for me and I hope they do for you as well. I hope that you get a good case that you’re happy with.
Hey guys, still movin along.
Eric, your case will be shipping out today, along with a bunch of others; Tactics yours tomorrow.
The problem with PM’s is I don’t get the notifications in my email all the time. For instance I didn’t get the notifications I had posts in my thread.
I think I need to clear my inbox…
Yep, I’m a one man op here, so the delays are my own fault; I never though I’d get this busy.
There’s a few things I’m doing backstage to speed up production so things should be ironed out soon.
I too get that same issue whether it be both messages or alerts on threads I’m supposed to be following. I’m not sure what causes that issue, but again all is understood and in no way am I upset. Thank you again putting this together for me and I’ll be eagerly awaiting my case.
Thanks again John, definitely are a great guy. Yeah I bet having a full-time job and trying to work on this many orders can be very time consuming, thanks again and I will eagerly await the case :).
