Why not just order those? Are the threads wrong? If that’s all it is, buy it and send it to me, and I’ll fix you up. 
They need to have 6mm threads to work. If the hole is larger than 6mm threads by a wide enough margin, I’d just set my insert in there using JB Weld with a bolt or shaft in it while it sets up to make sure it’s centered and that the threads don’t get clogged. If it’s smaller than 6mm, I’ll need to know by how much. I have a tap and die set for metrics, but I have to say this would be a first for me using it.

I won’t be ordering any stones until I get some sort of confirmation that anyone is willing to spend $35 on a stone ball top. I have to order them in quantities of 12 or more, so ordering that many makes no sense unless I have potential buyers.
I’d be willing to buy one of those red stone balltops if you put them up for sale.
Out of curiosity, what kind of stone is that?
To be honest, I’m not 100% certain. They call them “fiber optic stones”, which obviously they aren’t glass. 
I’ll take some pictures of my current stock in the morning. I’m completely whooped at the moment.

According to google, it’s a synthetic stone made from strands of fiber optic material. When put under light they tend to give off a cat’s eye effect.
I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread for when you get any of those!

Quick question…do these balls come pre-sized when you get them? Cause I have a ball that I may be interested in having threads set in but it’s a bit large if I remember correctly…
Yeah, they’re already 35mm or close to it when I get them.
The fluorite stuff I haven’t ordered. They’d be $35 each, and I haven’t found anyone yet that would actually shell out that kind of cash. In related news, I’m going to start trying to do hikaru dorodango, and I’m curious as to how solid and stable they are.
ah, I see. Understandable. it’s unfortunate about the fluorite being an expensive stone, because they really look nice. Interesting idea with the hikaru dorodango…on a similar note have you ever considered clay/ceramic tops?

Uh - that’s a good question. It went out first class mail, so it literally takes however long it takes.
Admittedly, this is the first time I’ve ever sent anything to england. I know I’m asking a bit much, but can you hang in there a few more days? I have no qualms about refunding you, but I’d like to see if it comes through first.
There’s no problem as long as it is still coming. I just didn’t expect it to take so long is all. I’m building my stick tomorrow so I’ll have to use the red top that came with my lizard lick stuff until it arrives. All it means is I can’t post in the “I love my custom stick” thread as soon as I’d like
