Mystic ray is indeed a charge move, it’s also one of his assists!
Shuma looks pretty solid already. Jill’s going to need some time before people figure her out (or until Desk breaks her).
I think I may sub Jill in-place of X-23 for a bit, her general gameplan is the same except she has even less options in the air but more on the ground and overall damage seems lower. Also, the spray-n-pray super seems to be a good get out-of-corner-free move. It has all sorts of invincibility and she recovers really fast from it. The lvl 3 is sorta like genei jin with teleports but the loop shown in the hyper guide is tad tricky for me to execute consistently.

Go play Marvel 3. Dark Phoenix = bullet hell. Real talk, Cave is a great company, but their overrated in the originality department. Ikaruga and it’s spiritual predecessor Radiant Silvergun are where it’s at. Beam sword FTW.
Shuma looks like fun but I’m disappointed he no longer has his tentacle rape mash throw. Jill’s power up is identical to Bang’s FRKZ, for anyone who plays BB.
My TV tubes exploded or something and the video output only displays weird colors. I still tried playing but after a few minutes I had a major headache >__<. So then I went to a friend’s house and played Accent Core and tried to two button dash then realized how truly difficult fighting games are, without fullscreen pushblock and 300 frame OTG windows XD.

Word is that NCI is going to be at Eudemonia this month. For those who don’t know, NCI is the tournament/ranbat series in NorCal for poverty/anime games like BB/GG/MB/AH3. There was a pretty big turnout last time I went (last August when it was also at EU) and a good showing of SoCal people making the trek out. Anyone and East Bay people especially might be interested in checking it out.

I dunno about fitting 60-100 people in any of the places we used so far. Maybe if more of the Crossroads was available haha.
We could probably have a better venue fee than Eudemonia, but then comes the trouble of managing all that people (there’s a lot of rules and whatnot and Dojo will be responsible if something goes wrong).
first of all, if you want nci to be at the dojo then we need to talk to them asap to get all of the rules out of the way. i talked to my bosses on a lot of rules, and i have a legit list of what we can and cannot do.
second, its about me and the dojo. today, all the staff were waiting to receive a note about if they got asked back to work for summer/next year. i got mine and i wasnt asked back per-say, i was put in the alternate list. which means that if someone next year quits or gets fired, then they will call people on the list. so there is a couple of options about the life of the dojo.
- ill try and find a way for me to access the rooms, which means that i can create the “housing” club into a “school club” which will last untill i graduate(dec).
- make the event a “legacy” event. which means to consistently find people who work there to take on the legacy of the dojo. my girl got hired, she might run it, and also i know a couple of people who might want to run it.
- find another venue
- make a venue
but in conclusion, the dojo will end soon in may if nothing happens. so i want to know what the community thinks about this. any ideas or thoughts?
also, the dojo might happens this sunday, ill check back on thursday/friday.
also, i need to find another place. anyone looking for roomates? lol, maby a marvel house?
