Team Fortress Class *it’s 4.99 on steam *
Is by far the best FPS ever made. (Props tho to the guy that said quake 3!)
TFC is the best game simply because it did what TF2 did 10 years ago. But it’s more fast paced and everything wasn’t over the top. It actually took skill to play. But it didn’t just stop there. It took years to master.
Conc jumping is still my favorite thing in any video game
Wolf 3-D, Doom II and Duke Nukem were my first FPS games. HL deathmatch got me hooked into multiplayer.
My favorite FPS games are Quake 2 and UT. The balance, depth and fun factor found in those games are unmatched IMO. I also had a lot of fun playing the original Day of Defeat and TFC.
CS was pretty addictive and I played it to death, but now it’s too stale and boring for me to consider playing again.
I’m looking for the PC sci-fi FPS. I can’t remember the name of it. All I can remember are first-person driving gameplay, shooting up some soldiers and this cutscene that had a woman in a red thong standing in water.
I know it’s vague but does anyone know what game this is?
quake 4 MAX, the comp mod for quake 4, is the most underrated competitive fps of all time. all the q3 heads were bitching about it not being like q3, but fuck them that game was good. if anyone plays that game and wanna get some duel in, im definitely down.
my first fps was prolly cod2 or css. everyone I know used to play css.
but yeah play quakelive. theres no reason not to. Id think anyone who plays FGs can appreciate quakelive and its duel system.
warsow is the shit. id play it but there werent to many 1v1 players back when i was playing it. ill give it a shot soon.
fpsrpg? deus ex
fpsmulti? timesplitters 2
first fps? either wolfenstein or catacombs abyss
i wish timesplitters would be the new halo, it was so much funner with better weapons + better characters… no one fucks with a bear holding a double barrel shotgun driving in a jeep with a robot that has a fishbowl for a head
oh… ive already replied to this thread
same answers though
Shit…the very first post brings out marathon. I’d have to say that was probably the first fps i ever played. My uncle was big into macs so our whole family had macs. So at family gatherings we would all bring our comps over and have 4 player marathon deathmatchs. I played the single player like crazy too. It was such a sick game back then.
counterstrike/CCS. first fps i really like, first one i got really good at, first one i took seriously and the only fps i’m still currently playing(off and on).
first one i played was probably quake, nope i lied it was zero tolerance for the sega genesis.
the series i guess i kind of hate is CoD. i couldn’t transcend from CS to CoD. i got all CoD games, i just dont enjoy them as much and dont see the hype and the praise.
First FPS - Marathon and Quake…man that game scared the shit out of me when I first learned it
Fave - Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, the longest FPS I ever played…still takes me some time to do a run (mostly cause the game is laggy as I look back  )
Turok: Rage Wars, game had cool stuff a decade before most FPS’s had its features. It had a form of achievements, Loadouts for MP, a Co-Op Campaign, balance for weapons as well as a crude form of ADS for some weapons.
I do wish that game had more love, that and Battlefield 2142 and Killing Floor…
