Every news station will have an alliance of some sort. The thing about Fox news that has always made me chuckle is how they refer to abortion clinic bombers as “pro life advocates” instead of terrorist. Also when a group of individuals planning to exact a form of terrorism upon the white house were caught, Fox referred to them as a Christian Militia instead of just lambasting them as terrorists. No Allah, no grounds for a terrorism labeling I suppose.
It’s all noise and spin for both sides. Sean Hannity had a spell in 2010 where he was telling listeners on a daily basis about the country being on a brink of collapse. Obama openly admits/bluffs to the press that if X bill doesn’t get passed or resolved, social security checks will not go out in August of 2010. Hannity needing to go the opposite direction of whatever the president goes, to keep listeners hooked, began a daily spell of reassuring listeners that this wouldn’t come to pass.
My deal with this is, if you’re going to sensationalize our situation to the point we are a mirror image of Mad Max-like collapse of everything, at least own it and stick to it. No back pedaling. If our country is this doomed, why then do the American people allow such a dangerous man to continue to hold office and ruin our country? “Well, we have a system in this country how we conduct removing unwanted officials.” Yeah, it’s called move them out by force and deadly if necessary if unjust oppression is occurring. Am I wrong? Turn on a right wing radio station and listen for an hour and tell me you don’t have the same sentiment after listening to Rush, Bortz, or Hannity for an hour.
Social security coming to a grinding halt sounds like a good item to check off on the list for brink of collapse. Additionally, when the Republican’s strongest contenders currently (Newt, Romney) poll to break even or slightly edge out Obama for a 2012 run, what does that say about the right wing’s offering to us the American people for hope? I have nothing against them, whoever gets into the office in 2012 won’t fix this situation in their term(s). If Obama is as shitty as he’s made out to be, and I didn’t vote for him, nor do I blindly defend him, why are candidates who are hailed as being leagues above his capacity to run this country breaking even or just barely beating him in nation polling for the 2012 presidency?
When the right is spamming “When Ronald Reagan…” comparisons about a past president dead and gone, what does that tell you about the current shape of our Republican party? Who do we have to look to the future as our “Ronald Reagan”?

Did you watch the video? Dude said at the end of his hypothetical situation “which by the way, you might want to say that Barack Obama does”. That comment at the end is Bozell’s own, not part of the hypothetical situation anymore. Bozell puts out the “skinny, ghetto crackhead” comment by way of a hypothetical situation not involving him (Bozell). If he stopped there, I’d be agreeing with you. But the fact that Bozell then ends the hypothetical situation and makes his own personal opinion known (agreeing with the hypothetical Chris Matthews that Barack looks like a skinny, ghetto crackhead), is essentially him (Bozell) saying “I think Barack Obama looks like a skinny, ghetto crackhead”. Seriously, how do you not understand this concept?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is America’s preferred source of information. And we wonder why we have a hard time solving our problems.

I watched it again. You’re absolutely right. He did say that. So let me ask you this, and I don’t mean to nitpick your post but I believe it’s worth pointing out. You said you would be agreeing with me if he didn’t say “which I agree to” at the end. Does the fact that he inserted his opinion at the end make the hypothetical situation untrue?
It doesn’t because it has no relevance to the situation. What if he didn’t voice his opinion but secretly believed it? Would you agree or disagree me? It does not make sense for you to say that you would agree with me if he didn’t voice his opinion, regardless of what his opinion is.
Now in my personal opinion, his little opinion insertion at the end of Sean Hannity, (another person), calling Obama those things is not the same, and not as explicit and derogatory as Chris Matthews calling Newt a car bomber straight up. Secondly, nobody said Obama shouldn’t win the democratic nomination back in 2008 because “insert negative comments about looks”. In fact, if something like that happened, we would hear on the news and certainly hear it on SRK. The guy would be fired on the spot. But really this is irrelevant to me as well because I don’t get offended. 
What was the point of this thread? To say Fox news is unfair and bias to the right? We already know that. It’s not a big secret. If it was, there are many better examples than this video. Or is it because some of you guys are “offended”?
As a person who leans to the right on fiscal matters and leans to the left on social matters, I’m inclined to agree with him that there is a double standard and one side gets away with more derogatory speech/reporting than the other. I can give you so many examples but even I realize this is not a winnable situation because most of the people here are young, and younger people tend to side with the left.
But I’ll just leave you with one as to not look like a complete asshole,
I would like to know where was the commensurate bumper sticker to “Buck Fush”? I mean, how come you never saw “Cluck Finton?” I guess you can’t reverse this with Obama, but yeah, given the amount of hate Obama gets, why don’t you see stickers with obscenities with his name?
I’m pretty sure people do feel that way, but they wouldn’t get away it. They’d probably get their windows bashed in if they had such a sticker with Obama.
