Idk about vega’s but Akuma’s Hard combos are the same thing but with 3 different set ups to go into, no kara demoning, or demon set ups. That’s super lame imo.
I’d like to know wtf caused all this shit. But from what I can gather, Viper/Akuma players are saying they are so good at them they can play without getting hit? Isn’t that just being good at the character and not so much character? That’s kinda what I thought a perfect was…maybe I was wrong?
well akuma’s main strategy to win is by time out and the idea of not getting hit and some jpn akuma players do it really well (momochi mostly).
i think viper made it so high up because she can land ultra off of everything if you’re really good execution wise. her super jump cancels are retarded.
Actually, I think Brent should definitely stick with Vega. I played a guy the other night that comboed so well with Vega that I might make Vega my number two guy on ST:IV (Bison and Guile are still working pretty well). The main combo this guy would land is a standard HK(I think) that lunges towards your character (if it connects, it starts a juggle situation) after that an EX version of the move where Vega jumps towards the wall continues the combo. If done correctly, the move hits on the way up (hit # 2) and he finishes with grabbing your character and driving them to the ground. This simple 3 hit combo worked very well against my Honda, Bison, and Vega. It’s the lunging kick that makes Vega so well to work with. After several back and forth games, I definitely became a believer that Vega’s still great but you’ll have to change some of your tactics with him.
Speaking of changing tactics, E. Honda’s torpedo leaves him too left open. Abel, Bison, and Rog can counter hit it everytime. Unless comboed or punishment situations, I’m not using it as much anymore. Anyone else noticing large differences in the characters they’re playing?

Oh ya, another thing on Sagat, He can Ex Tiger Uppercut-> Ultra (all or -1-3 hits on ultra if not in corner, if ultra is in corner, ALOT of hits tend to miss (i.e. he does 50% dmg of what his ultra is supposed to do)).
Dave called and told me he won again. He’ll be heading to Orlando in two weeks to play round 3 for his chance at a TE fight stick and an Evo spot, as well as a trip to Cali for round 4 (the final one) and probably some more different colored headbands.
When I asked about his character he said even though he didn’t want to he did in fact go with Ryu! Good for him! He should listen to our advice more often really. :tup:
How many of you guys plan on going to the West Chester OH tourney in late April?
We were talking about finally doing an OH vs. Elsewhere tourney, like a 3v3, in a couple games. Are any of you guys going to be able to make in? I’m sure IN could field a team in every game!

TTs are cool but take a lot longer than something like a 3v3. We might not even have time to do many/any 3v3 but they’d go much faster than TT.
Actionhank, 3v3 events are good because, unless you’re doing SBO style, even if one guy rolls through the other team it’s still his teammates who have to win the thing since it’s RR.
I would like to make it to the West Chester tourney again, I won’t be sure of my schedule until next month though. 3v3s are always a blast, that would be awesome if it could be set up.

Mario - I know, we haven’t played in so long. If only we lived closer. Most of the Fort Wayne crew avoids 3s now also, we must play man.
Spencer - Well, that drive to Ohio is a bit longer than what you might expect. I might have something family-related to attend to that weekend anyways, I don’t remember the exact date. In any case, if you are willing to take another long haul, it would be much appreciated. I advise you to save your money on seeing the movie. We went at an odd time.
Maybe we will somehow get that video of the comedian cracking on ICP up, in due time.
