Great job making it to top 16!
So I get to deploy throw tactics in lag with Dragunov AND make money off of them? SWEET! I’ll get started next month! (Im such a scrub, I know)

yeah if you don’t mind risking some cash and especially if you think you can win some then go for it. i just played in their first HDR promo event tonight. was supposed to be a 4 player event but only 2 of us signed up.
i won the event, paying $2.20 to enter and winning $10 (was supposed to be $16 for 1st if they filled all 4 slots). so i won a quick $7.80 for about 15 minutes of game play which already covers the $5.50 i spent on the Evo tournament. it all works out like that.
Spencer-My phone was turned off last week, but should be back on Tuesday.
Brent, you’re famous!
Drinking and online Super Street Fighter 4 mix? : News : EventHubs.com

Dude you’re fighting is a moron =P
son, i know you new and all, but i done been famous! :bgrin:
i have now officially done it all in my competitive fighting game tenure. i have traveled around. i have won some tourneys including a major. i have met lots of incredible people and made so many friends. i have become the leader of my own fan club. i have been viewed on youtube for both matches and interviews. i have even been streamed live on the internet. and last but not least i have found my way onto the front page of srk and now finally onto the front page of event hubs. amazing!
it’s been an incredible 12 years since i started playing the competitive tournament scene. hopefully here is to another crazy 12 years where even more wild and unimaginable things can happen. just think how someone like Justin Wong feels. hahaha.
— edit —
on a positive note maybe if enough people see this video perhaps they can help me by joining along with me when i continuously call my shitty isp to complain about my pathetic internet speeds and connection.
Very nice Brent, though it seemed pretty 101. Though I suppose that is how it is when I have been drinking:rolleyes:
Think I am gonna have to play tonight. Gettin good at staying cool. I know my limitations.
good point Abe. i was talking with Clem tonight and was telling him the same thing. admittedly my connection with him was more laggy than the other two opponents but it’s not like i did it on purpose, and i was getting lag too.
the first two opponents both lost 3-1 to that drunken fool. i have lots of experience playing against drunk Street Fighter players through all the parties Abe has thrown. thank you very much for granting me that much experience, Abe and Fort Wayne crew. hahaha.
my name is on the front of Galaxy4Gamers now. jeesh. make it stop. pictures and autographs will happen for $5 at Abe’s next party. i’ll make sure everyone that wants them gets them. ahahaha.
Jeez Brent…anymore attention and I don’t think your head could even fit through my garage door lol. Drunken Street Fighter is an experience to be had by all. Charge partitioning is so much more fun when inebriated…second only to drunken beatmania.
the bracket is up for the evo online finale.
air vs. vangief
llperu vs. showstopper
calipower vs. crizznation
jrgutier vs. edma
adamvongs99 vs. immortalbmw
endlessrampage vs. iperfectlegend
scottosohotto vs. macumazahn
davero vs. wolfkrone
Good luck Brent! I’d watch the stream but I’ll be studying for finals all weekend. Give 'em hell though!
Brent - Is there an approximate start time for that evo online tourney?
Mike - :shake: Oh god, I could feel my letter grade slipping away with every minute that went by… :shake:
Yeah I basically got a 0 on the T/F section. Might have gotten the 1st 2 if they were true, but my explanations were funky. I think I got the polynomial and diagonalization ones completely right but on the differential equations I forgot the y=Pu step. I still got y1= 0 and y2 = 0. I feel bad for you on the last page though. I think I might’ve gotten that one completely right, but not sure. Would be much easier if you had taken the last quiz.
And for #1 it failed Axiom 8 right? That’s all I had + explanation.
Yeah it failed at Axiom 8. I also got y1= 0 and y2 = 0, thought I was way off on that one haha, that makes me feel a little better. That last page and the T/F completely screwed me, pretty sure I hate that professor now.
Clem - so in hindsight, which fighter proved the old axiom today? good SF4 joke, right? no?
the stream will be at 3pm EST. any times given by G4G are PST. i’m constantly double checking my times with anything i do on there.
at this point i just can’t wait to get this all over with. i had no plans of winning 1st. i had no plans of making it even close to this far either. i know i’m only playing 1-4 opponents, all of them very tough so i don’t have any concerns with what happens anymore.
Clever clever…
You know, if cheezface immortal doesn’t have the willpower to win the tournament, then maybe tipsy immortal does? You saw how far Geoff the Hero made it, imagine if someone of your skill level were powered by alcohol, now that would be a sight to see.
Good luck this weekend, cheezface. I’d watch the stream but I’ll be out of town.
I finally finished all the SSFIV trials!!:wgrin:
Where did you find the brackets? Got a link?
