There isn’t going to be any more games in the lab. They have revoked my weekend lab access due to the 3rd. They also said that they informed me that the building was going to be closed for the fourth, and that there were not going to be any guards there. THIS WAS A COMPLETE FUCKING LIE. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY DOCUMENTATION OR NOTIFICATION OF THIS. So I was talking with my SE director about this situation. Like wtf is going on, etc, etc. They say I am “Abusing my lab privileges” I just laughed at that. This place wouldn’t even be getting any use during the summer if I wasn’t here. W/e. but I still have access to the Zolner building namely: The lobby. From here we can play games, access the restrooms, and do all sorts of things without getting into trouble. They may not like having a whole bunch of non Indiana Tech students here, but I don’t fucking care, we’ll be supervised by the Security guard that usually sits out there, in fact I’ll probably go and ask them about that today. Regardless, There are two sets of 2 3prong connectors out there. We can certainly hook a console up and a Monitor with a power strip. I’m not sure about a TV though, that might be pushing it. However, the only monitor we have is mine. We can’t take any of the monitors out of it for the weekend (or at all), and I don’t know if any of you guys have a TV/Monitor with hdmi/component/composite that is travel-friendly.
I don’t know if I will have to scale it back to smaller 4-5 person (maybe less idk) sessions, or what. But that’s about the only Idea/option I have left to use at Indiana Tech.
The only other place I can think of is Mike’s house and that doesn’t have the adequate parking space for multiple people.
There is Milan’s/Gary’s houses, but those are for special occasions, and even then, that is their house, their rules on who can come over, etc. (Basically not my bussiness to meddle in their affairs…same thing with Mike’s house).
So as of right now, I have no idea what the future holds for Tech Hit. it’s really a bummer that it had to come to this. Why can’t Paul Nannie and his old sweet house live up here.
We’ll see how I’m feeling tomorrow, but right now, I’m in a very bitter (…dare you say “Salty”) mood.
I just want to let you guys know that I trust you guys, and I know that you wouldn’t dare damage anything. I just wish everyone else here felt/knew the same.

Brent - Looks like something unexpected happened. Well basically, whatever application I need to disable in order to play GGPO just keeps switching around on me every time I restart my computer. I probably shouldn’t risk disabling a bunch of random applications that might be of importance. No biggie though, I got a few good matches in with some good players already, and I am no match haha. It’s nice just to have ST on my computer now anyways.

I’m looking into a way to keep this thing here at Tech going. But I have to run it past some people, and I’m doing my best to just say a big Fuck You to any red tape that might get in the way. But I think what I got will turn out to be a workable solution.
We’ll see though, in the mean time I’ll do my best to think of other places we could play at for this weekend. I think Myndgamez and Puff may be in town and back in action this weekend also. we’ll certainly have to see.

That’s awesome dude, people fucking fear you. The problem is that since your a charge character (And one that benefits greatly from down-back charging), it’s super hard to hit you low, let alone knock you down. I hope you do well sir.

Also, I’m going to do my best to get the ball rolling today for this thing at Tech. Talk to some people etc, etc. If there is one thing I detest in the world it’s waiting for responses for clearance/permission/etc. I’m pretty OCD about this shit, and I have no problem bugging people to the point of where they just say “Fuck you, and No because you wouldn’t stop bugging me.” And then continue to insist upon them until I receive the answer I want.
This should be apparent in my resilience to give up the controller even after losing 20 times in a row.
But I digress, I’m doing what I can, all while thinking of some back up plans.
Also, Capcom vs. Namco (SF4 Engine)? Namco vs. Capcom (Tekken engine)? I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard of something that won’t work as much as those two ideas. If namco includes any Soul Calibur Characters, they’re instantly gonna be high-tier because of their incredible range due to their weapons. And Capcom doesn’t do well in a true 3d (8 way run) environment imo. And Brian Fury will be great in the SF4 engine because of the unblockable taunt THAT YOU NOW CAN’T SIDESTEP. It just seems like there is going to be too many balancing issues for the game to be successful, let alone…fun.
Although, they both do have a “Revenge” mechanic built in, so that could go either way in the transition.
I dont think the development of either of these games (Capcom VS Namco, Namco VS Capcom) will be as close to the end of the world as some people make it. As long as they make the proper adjustments, It could end up being really good.
The Tekken producer always talked about wanting to make a VS fighting game, but his primary target was Virtua Fighter. I guess sometime recently he realised that SEGA is too stingy to ever let that happen, so he went to the 1 company that never says no to anything with a VS in the title.
